The Unified State Examination is a federal system of knowledge testing, on the basis of which a decision is made to enroll a graduate in a particular university. What should be the minimum USE 2017 scores in all subjects to guarantee admission to a higher educational institution? This will be discussed in our article.
USE 2017: changes and innovations
Until 2016, the state exam was taken only in a testing format. On the one hand, this created certain difficulties for schoolchildren: creative subjects, such as literature, are very difficult to fit into the framework of dry tests. On the other hand, the form of testing itself gives a hint to an attentive student - it is easier to choose the correct solution from several answer options.
These facts largely influenced the decision of the Ministry of Education to make a number of changes to the USE system. Accordingly, the mechanism for accruing USE-2017 points will also change.
And, perhaps, the main innovation that awaits schoolchildren in 2017 is an oral exam in the Russian language, one of the compulsory subjects of the Unified State Examination.
Another change is the introduction of a third compulsory subject. Recall that today students are required to pass mathematics and the Russian language, students have the right to choose other subjects on their own. History is called upon to supplement the “main pair”, although to date the third compulsory subject has not yet been fully determined. The choice of history is not accidental: as the results of past exams show, the level of knowledge in this discipline among modern schoolchildren is catastrophically low. The innovation, according to officials, should raise interest in the subject and force students to pay maximum attention to it.
At the same time, the story is also planned to be handed over orally - in any case, at least partially. The oral form will help to create a more complete picture of the level of knowledge of the student, help to understand how deeply the student understands the subject.

There are two options for the minimum scores of the USE 2017: for the certificate and for admission to universities. Moreover, a chance to correct their grades is provided even if the student has overcome the threshold level and simply wants to increase the overall score. Another plus is that the graduate can use the results of the exams for three years.
At the moment, data on the level of the threshold is based on the summary information for the previous year. The average scores in all three subjects in 2017 are comparable to the results of the previous year.
The number of USE participants who failed to overcome the established minimum threshold in subjects decreased: in social science to 13.8% from 17.5% last year, in physics - to 3.8% from 6.1%, in literature - to 2 .9% from 4.4% a year earlier.
“The average scores are comparable to the results of the previous year, which indicates the stability of the exam and the objectivity of the assessment. It is important that the number of those who have not overcome the minimum thresholds is decreasing. This is largely due to competent work with the results of the USE, when they are analyzed and used in the work of institutes for advanced training of teachers. In a number of regions, the project “I will pass the Unified State Examination” gave very serious results,” said Sergey Kravtsov, head of Rosobrnadzor.
Thanks to the use of technology for scanning participants' works at the examination points, the results of the USE in social science, literature and physics were processed ahead of the deadlines set by the schedule for issuing results. Graduates will be able to find out their result a day earlier.
Long before the start of the unified state exam, future graduates, together with their parents, begin to monitor all the changes that may relate to the specified section of knowledge. In case of receiving a lower number of points from the specified threshold, regarding subjects to choose from, something will not be indicated on the certificate at all. 
Changes in the USE 2017
Innovations regarding the conduct of the unified state exam are considered one of the most important topics for discussion among high school students. Wen not always accepted by the government changes facilitate the process of surrender.
The first thing that schoolchildren should remember is that next year a third will be added to the two mandatory exams. In addition to the Russian language and mathematics, the current 11th graders will have to show their knowledge in one more subject, the final decision on which has not yet been made. Innovations will also affect essays, for which next year, instead of the usual pass or fail, they now plan to give specific marks. 
In the event that the third compulsory subject is the already mentioned history, graduates will be able to choose for themselves one more additional discipline to choose from the following list: literature, computer science, chemistry, social science, biology, physics, geography, foreign languages.
Minimum USE scores for obtaining a certificate and further admission
If a graduate plans to enter a higher educational institution after graduation, he will have to submit his certificate and certificate with the USE results to the selection committee of the chosen university. It is very good that next year the Russian Ministry of Education decided not to change the minimum number of passing marks for the unified state exam.
It should be noted that all USE scores in 2017, with respect to each of the previously designated disciplines, are distributed as follows:

Important note: the points obtained during the USE exam can be used at the discretion of the graduate over the next 3 years. Admission allows a former student to receive an additional 10 points for an excellent certificate, high achievements in sports, or special achievements in science (participation in olympiads, various competitions, etc.). 
In case of an unsatisfactory result of the exams, students have every right to retake it two more times. Even in the case when the student barely managed to overcome the threshold score, he can improve his results in order to acquire the opportunity to enter the previously chosen university.
It remains only to clarify that now the level of the threshold for passing the exam is based on summary information regarding previous periods. As a result, the passing score next year is the minimum level of knowledge that any graduate has to present. To gain an examination threshold is only to show before the commission a not too high (basic) level of knowledge accumulated during the training. By the way, in the last few years, there has been a clear trend towards a decrease in the erudition of schoolchildren, since they do not see reasonable prospects for becoming professionals in some business.

What is the USE, what is the minimum threshold and what are the consequences.

The principle of calculating the success of passing the unified state exam assumes that the subject must demonstrate a high, average or sufficient level of knowledge, corresponding to grades "5", "4" and "3" in the school scale.
In case of an unsatisfactory result, as well as when passing a score that the examinee considers insufficient for himself, graduates are given the right to retake the exam.
Minimum score for admission to the budget
Most universities announce the threshold score required for applicants for a budget place. This allows each applicant to realistically assess the prospects for admission and choose universities and specialties based on the points scored in the USE.
In 2018, you can focus on the fact that last season the average passing scores in all subjects of the Unified State Examination among applicants who entered MGIMO and other highly rated universities in the capital fluctuated between the threshold value of 80-90. But, for most regional universities of the Russian Federation, 65-75 points can already be considered a competitive result.
