About MosPolytech

University of Mechanical Engineering (MAMI) carries out a deep reform of the educational process, the purpose of which is to bring educational programs in line with the existing and future demands of the technological labor market.

The University regularly engages domestic technology companies in the examination of specialized educational programs, and is an active participant in industry foresights as part of the National Technology Initiative.

From the first year, each of our students is required to participate in project teams that solve cases of partner companies: FSUE NAMI in the field of automotive industry, OJSC KAMAZ in the field of unmanned transport systems, OJSC RusHydro in the field of energy, OJSC ZAVKOM in the field of food industry and biotechnology, RVC OJSC in the field of communications in the technological field.

Despite the fact that the reform has been going on for two years, the university teams take high places in engineering competitions: in the 2014/2015 academic year, freshmen took first places in a number of competition categories " Robofest”, won the absolute victory in the international competition for the development of electric motorcycles Smart Moto Challenge(Barcelona).

The requirements of professional competitions are integrated into the curriculum for applied disciplines. So, in the 2015/2016 academic year, 1200 students studying "CAD Engineering Graphics" passed an intermediate certification in the form of competitions WorldSkills according to the relevant competence. This approach gives its results: two members of the Russian team at the world championship in Sao Paulo are students of the University of Mechanical Engineering - Ivan Khokhlov, "Electronics" and Dmitry Karasev, "CAD Engineering Graphics".

Currently, we are building a system of work with talented schoolchildren focused on project engineering activities. Since September 2015, four specialized engineering class in Moscow schools. Systematic work is underway with the All-Russian children's centers "Eaglet" (Krasnodar Territory), "Azimut" and "Sirius" (Sochi), "Smena" (Anapa), "Ocean" (Vladivostok). Cooperation agreements were signed with Innopraktika and the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI).

In 2016, for admission to engineering educational programs, 856 budget places in full-time education. The cost of education on a paid basis is competitive: payment is provided by semesters, payment by maternity capital, etc. - and will be announced no later than June 1st on the website of the Admissions Committee.

Choose an educational program to your liking and start your professional career at the University of Mechanical Engineering (MAMI)*.

Story

Founding 1899-1914

Witte's closest associates in organizing the SPbPI were Comrade Minister of Finance V.I. Kovalevsky and scientist-chemist D.I.Mendeleev. All three were subsequently elected honorary members of the institute, and their portraits were installed in the Council Hall.

The design and construction was carried out by an architectural workshop under the direction of E. F. Wirrich. The project included a complex of buildings forming a self-contained campus similar to those that existed at Cambridge and Oxford. The complex included the main building, a chemical pavilion, two dormitories and a mechanical building. When designing the main building, Wirrich used the design of the Berlin Higher Technical School. The central part and the general plan of the building almost completely repeat the Berlin building.

The ceremonial laying of the buildings was carried out on June 18, 1900. Construction was carried out from 1900 to 1905; the main building was completed in 1902. The building was built in the neoclassical style, typical for St. Petersburg architecture of the late 19th century. A monumental white building with an H-shaped configuration. The interior layout, with all lecture halls facing southwest, maximizes the use of natural light.

Fundamental library SPbPU

The fundamental library of the university began its work simultaneously with its opening in 1902. At various times, collections of books by S. Yu. Witte, professors of the Institute P. B. Struve, Yu. others

The composition of the library funds is determined by the disciplines being studied, but in addition to the collections of literature traditional for a technical university in the natural, exact and applied technical sciences, it contains sections of the humanities: history, law, economics, finance, etc. The library funds also include those donated to it personal collections of scientists of the Institute.

1914-1941

By 1960, laboratories for energy systems, automation, telemechanics, metallurgy, turbine building and compressor building were created at LPI. At the same time, a system of "continuous work practice" was introduced at the institute. Freshmen who did not have production experience alternately studied and worked at the plant. K. Marx, Metallic Plant, Svetlana Production Association, Krasny Oktyabr Plant, Glavleningradstroy.

In 1961, in accordance with the new regulation on higher educational institutions, the election of rectors and deans was restored.

Since 1960, there has been a rapid construction of new buildings of the Institute. By 1962, a sports complex, a high-voltage building (TVN), two new educational buildings, a polyclinic building, a dispensary, an archive and a hostel on Nepokorenny Avenue were built.

The construction of new buildings was continued in the late 70s - early 80s. Two dormitories were built along Grazhdansky Avenue and Nepokorennykh Avenue, a new educational building, a building for the preparatory faculty on Polyustrovskiy, and the building of the Institute of International Educational Programs on Grazhdansky Avenue.

New design bureaus were created: OKB "Impulse" and a special design bureau for technical cybernetics (now - TsNII RTK).

In July 2007, the rector of the university, Mikhail Fedorov, told the Prime-tass news agency that within the framework of the national project Education, a research institute for new materials and technologies would be created on the basis of the institute. 520 million rubles will be allocated from the federal budget for the construction of research institutes.

In 2012, SPbPU was among the 21 Russian universities that won the competitive selection for the right to receive a subsidy from the Russian Ministry of Education and Science in order to increase their competitiveness - Project 5-100.

Like many other state colleges in Novovoronezh, this option prepares leaders of the "polytechnic" type. We suggest that you examine this institution of higher education as a replacement for similar ones on the topic in the list. Novovoronezh Polytechnic College - a branch of the National Research Nuclear University "M IF I" (Novovoronezh Polytechnic College - a branch of the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Professional Education "National Research Nuclear University "M IF I") was excellently reviewed by us in announcements and articles on a specific portal.

Kavminvodsk Institute (branch) of the South Russian State Polytechnic University (Novocherkassk Polytechnic Institute) named after V.I. M. I. Platova (Kavminvodsk Institute (branch) of the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Professional Education "South-Russian State Polytechnic University (Novocherkassk Polytechnic Institute) named after M. I. Platov") is excellently painted among other materials on the current resource. It is possible to study and adopt this university and other state institutions of Georgievsk, as an alternative to similar ones in Georgievsk. Unlike other state institutions of Georgievsk, this university trains professionals of the "polytechnic" type.

Balakhna Polytechnic College - a branch of the National Research Nuclear University "M IF I" (Balakhna Polytechnic College - a branch of the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Professional Education "National Research Nuclear University "M IF I") is slightly discussed in the corresponding article on the current DB interface. Probably, like the state colleges of Balakhna, this educational institution makes good workers on the subject of “polytechnic.” It is possible to study and adopt this option as a worthy alternative to many others in Russia.

St. Petersburg State Polytechnic University

To become a student at the Children's University, you do not need to take exams. We are waiting for everyone who is driven by the desire to explore and learn new things.
We create conditions for the consistent development of interest in research: from acquaintance with many sciences at the age of 7 to independent choice and solution of a specific scientific problem at 14.

There are four directions at the University of Children. The appropriate direction is determined by the child's year of birth.

Who conducts the classes and how?

All classes are taught by scientists and experts in various scientific fields. Together with them, children master the scientific method, participate in research and learn to look at the world around them like scientists: to doubt, to ask questions, to look for answers. The task of the University is not just to answer children's questions, but to gradually teach students to build an independent path to answers.
Over the 6 years of the University for Children's work, more than 300 scientists have collaborated with us, studying various phenomena and processes, including the state of the atmosphere, brain function and human rights.

How do we determine the topics of the classes?

Each lesson at the Children's University is born from a children's question. At Open Days, Student Days, Open Lectures, and End-of-Semester Ceremonies, we invite children to fantasize: what question would they ask a scientist?

We collect all questions in the “Box of curiosity” and replenish our database, which already contains more than 800 questions.

Where are the classes?

The choice of site depends on the format of the planned study.
We do a lot of classes in university classrooms and libraries, but we also freely arrange chairs, move desks, and we can even bring yoga mats with us. An important task for us is to show students the different possibilities of space. After all, you can learn not only sitting at a desk.

To understand how microbes make kefir or why people put up monuments, different scientific approaches are needed. Therefore, students collect data for some studies in scientific laboratories, for others - during field research or in museums.

If a specific place and its context is important for studying a topic, we go there. For 6 years, we have visited 50 different sites, including the Moscow State University weather station, the station for emergency and emergency medical care. A.S. Puchkov, Skoltech, Stanislavsky Electrotheatre, Lastochek carriage depot. This is not only an immersion in the environment, but also an opportunity to see the leader's colleagues at work and be sure that science lives not only in textbooks.

How is everything arranged?

All classes are held on Sunday mornings and afternoons.
Each student has a personal account where you can choose a convenient day and time, as many classes are repeated during the semester. You can change the recording time at any time, if there are free places.
Each student attends 9-10 classes per semester, depending on the direction and can participate in the exhibition of projects.

What is a project exhibition?

The project exhibition is an opportunity to tell other students about your research. If there is no passion to prepare your project, you can participate in the role of an expert observer.

Is there a program for parents?

In addition to children's classes, the semester program includes four events for parents. The basis of parent meetings, as in the case of children's classes, are questions. Should I send my child to university? Is it right to monitor children over the Internet? How to keep your child interested in science? How are childhood memories formed? Who are teenagers and what do they think of themselves? We are also looking for answers to such questions together with various scientists.

What the cost of studying?

You can pay for each semester separately or purchase a subscription immediately for a year at a discount.

  • Spring semester: 9,500 rubles

    Structure

The university includes 20 basic faculties, 6 faculties and additional education courses, an evening department, 3 branches, a scientific complex, a dispensary and recreation centers. The university campus is located in the northeast of the city; it includes 15 educational and 15 research and production buildings, 13 dormitories, 10 residential buildings, the House of Scientists and a sports complex.

Construction was carried out from 1900 to 1905. The construction of the main building was completed in 1902 .

The building was built in the neoclassical style, typical for St. Petersburg architecture of the late 19th century. A monumental white building with an H-shaped configuration. The interior layout, with all lecture halls facing southwest, maximizes the use of natural light.

    SPbSPU Fundamental Library

The fundamental library of the university began its work simultaneously with its opening in 1902. As of 2004, more than 2,700 thousand items of storage were placed in the library's storage fund.

The composition of the library funds is determined by the disciplines studied, but in addition to the collections of literature traditional for a technical university in the natural, exact and applied technical sciences, the sections of the humanities are widely represented in it: history, law, economics, finance, etc. The library funds also include those transferred to it in gift of personal collections of scientists of the Institute. At different times, collections of books by S. Yu. Witte, professors of the Institute P. B. Struve, Yu. etc. The first hundred books were donated by V. I. Kovalevsky, a statesman and direct executor of the institute's organization project.

In 1995, the SPbSPU Fundamental Library was the first library in Russia to receive a full-fledged high-speed Internet connection and created its own Web server. It has developed an electronic catalog and a full-text database, which are available from the workplaces of librarians, reading rooms, departments and services of the university, as well as for Internet users. Employees and students of the university have the opportunity to obtain information from international databases.
