Chronicle of the war. Periodicals of the Great War: Chronicle of War Journal annals of war 1914 read

Dear Sirs!

I present to you the antique complete edition "Chronicle of the War of 1914-15-16-17." — 132 magazines (without covers): over 2000 photographs and portraits, plans and diagrams; 2300 pages, including messages from the Official Department and color illustrations.

"Chronicle of the War of 1914-15-16-17" was completely scanned back in 2001, but only in 2010 did the author of the site find time to make up a complete Internet version. Part of the "Chronicle" was written off (thrown away) library funds - the pages of many magazines had to be restored with their own hands. Covers and advertisements, due to repetition and dilapidation, are presented in only a few magazines.

All issues of the "Chronicle" are presented in the form of images. Preview (in JPG) is possible from any browser. Large DjVu format images (up to 300 Kb) are available with the plugin installed, one of the two (choose by system and browser):

The editors most humbly ask Messrs. readers to send photographic cards of our killed and wounded soldiers with brief biographical information, as well as various photographs and photographs related to the war, for placement in the Chronicle. The editors will gratefully accept all submitted materials and, as far as possible, will give them a place on the pages of the Chronicle.

The list of portraits, drawings and personalities in general photographs was compiled by the author of the site from the edited table of contents "Chronicles of the War of 1914-15-16-17." and verified with sources from the Internet - the full name was specified. and original writing. Identified: Russian Imperial House, Government, most of the Russian generals and foreign subjects. The list contains only surnames, initials and titles. Most of the same - a description of events and exploits, a unit or place, awards and production - is on the pages with images. The list is incomplete, to search for a photograph or mention of a person, you need to look at the place, event and part in the table of contents, or search through the entire text of the Chronicle of War. 1. Today in the memory of many
Forgotten last war.
But those armless and legless,
What did she mutilate
And those whose path was crippled
And those in whose house trouble came,
And those whose courage and shoulders
All the weight was taken away.
However, do not forget the thunder of guns,
No villages on fire
Not the day of our Victory.
People!!! Don't forget the war.

2. How few of you are left now
From those distant days of the war.
Friends are gone. There is old age.
But it's not your fault.
And the years go by faster
And twice in a lifetime in the same waters
You can't enter and you can't return
Way back already.

3. Us anniversary returns
In those forties.
Memory promises to remember them,
Forgetting insults forever.
And there weren't many of them back then.
Not a few were captured in those days,
And not in battles, not in battle,
Those who laid down their heads.

4. From fascist bombs, from shells,
Taking people by surprise.
We knew everything that the Germans were nearby,
That our defense plan is bad.
Order - "stay in place,
And don't give in to rumors
Be calm everyone."
However, be vigilant.

5. Was in those first weeks
There is shock in the ranks of the command.
The ranks of the soldiers thinned out.
And enemy tanks to the east,
Dismembering the front, rushing, rushing,
But even then, at the very beginning
In some places, the enemy was rebuffed.
Thus rose the ax of war.

6. Knowing the bitterness of defeat,
And retreating, clenching his teeth,
We learned how to fight.
And let the "prophecies" of the powers
We were promised death soon.
We have overcome our first fear.
And the army short term
Learned the lesson of war!

7. In those days of great trials
The whole country has already learned
And about the Panfilovites, and "Tanya"
And pioneer names:
Marat Kazei and Kotik Valya
It's hard to name them all now.
We can. glory for the ages
And Kovpak's partisans.

8. Rumor in July said
That the Brest Fortress lives
And in it, gathering the remnants of strength
Major Gavrilov beats enemies.
Let's not forget the frontier posts:
People held out for weeks
Engaged in an unequal battle
Sacrificing for us

9. Sadness of loss and pride together:
Do not win and do not break
Such people to the fascist hordes!
And we will find a thread to Victory!
And let the winding origins
Our victory. In Bialystok
And in Minsk, which fell in six days.
The beginning was born to her.

10. On the whole war theater long
Forces would not be enough for the enemies.
Their tanks were torn apart by a wedge
Protecting us here and there.
Then the infantry went into the niches.
Oh, if someone about "Nevsky"
Suddenly I remembered, forgetting the shock,
Fritz would have hit "in the bag."

11. But Ego teaches us even in trouble
And you won't change the days of the war.
Yes! “everyone fancies himself a strategist,
Seeing the fight from the side.
It is not for us to judge the brave soldiers,
Everyone fought for the honor of the country.
Though the price was heavy
But her Fatherland is saved!

12. In two long years of retreat
We have learned to beat the enemy.
And we had no doubt
In that fascist leg
Will not cross our Volga.
And that is not for long
And the army, throwing off oppression,
Will turn the war to the West.

13. And near Moscow, and in Stalingrad,
Near Minsk, Vyazma, and Orel,
We put barriers to the Germans.
And they didn’t go ahead
Their painted "tigers"
Other "games" went on in the war
The pressure of the German armies subsided.

And they ran out of "Blitzkrieg"

14. Victories are not given for nothing,
And the way back was more difficult.
Those ten "Stalinist" blows
that led the way to her,
Like lightning and thunder.
They led to the destruction
Not only all German forces,
But also to the collapse of the Axis countries!

15. We drove the "Nazis" to hell
Freeing the native land.
And the third year and the fourth year,
Not giving a single drop
Hope they stop.
And now we are on their border.
Europe, as more than once,
Greets us with relief.

16. And now in May, in the forty-fifth,
The whole country learned in the morning
That soldiers entered "their" Berlin!
And that the war is over!
Oh, how many tears and grief!
And such a sea of \u200b\u200bjoy
In those days our people experienced
What a long-awaited hour has come!

17. People are tired of suffering,
From hard work
From overwhelming expectations.
And so ever since then
On holidays, our toast at the feast
“Everything will work out in life. Only
If only there was no war!”
We are united by this.

18. Our relatives are veterans!
Less and less you are with us.
And age and past wounds,
Problems are stupid sometimes
What is created for you happens.
All this life does not prolong.
But your feat once again
Saved Russia, the World and us!

19. And you, the few left
And for those who won't come again
We bow low at our feet.
And all the earth and all the people.
For you they will march in parade formation
Other new heroes.
You have a replacement today.
And they live both duty and honor.

20. Tell them you how it is:
“Keep the Motherland like a mother.
But let you not have to in life
Accept the military order.
And wars are not a man's business
But: Si vis pacem, para bellum!
And our army has that shield,
That in a terrible hour will protect us.

21. Our Victory Day! This date
As the best holiday we honor.
Thank you for everything soldiers!
And who died - thanks to them!.
Thank you home front workers!
And those who were young
They also worked as hard as they could.
And save your memory.

22. Thank you mothers and wives!
It wasn't easy for them either.
This son is slain in battle,
That one is alive, but far away.
And waiting anxiously for the postman
And sadness in the inflamed eyes,
But you have to plow and reap,
And life for grandchildren to continue.

23. Thanks to the children of the war days.
You have grown up too early.
We wish you for sure
Live longer and not get sick.
About Leningrad and about the blockade
There are many books, poems, movies
And you have to give credit
For your great feat .... But

24. One hundred twenty-five blockade grams
Of course, they will not warm the blood.
And in Leningrad, let's face it,
All of you have always had shelter.
Let it be "communal"
With a slightly warm "bourgeois" pitiful.
But there were walls, a ceiling.
And the city helped as best it could.

25. In the places where the battle took place,
(And people lived there too)
Above them was only the sky.
And apart from the bombing of the pits
They had nowhere to hide.
What about food? I had to rummage
In the fields Catch moles, mice.
There were heaps of lice in the clothes.

26. And do not tidy up, do not wash.
Buried in holes like groundhogs
And they waited: the German would bomb,
then it will be possible to the river
then get water.
And this path promised misfortune -
Whether a stray bullet, a projectile
In the trench they will put everyone in a row

27. When the war has already receded.
Who survived, went with difficulty
Home. It was difficult to get there.
And what house met them?!
Some burnt remains.
Having arranged a shaky canopy on them.
And not a tent, not a hut
This was your “house” for a long time.

28. Yes, the blockade was not easy
Those nine hundred nights and days.
And yet everyone needs to realize
What was a hundred times harder
And Stalingraders and Kuryans,
Both townspeople and villagers
Who lived in the frontline zone.
One out of twenty alive

29. Stayed on the day of release.
And "no yard, and no stake"
From power - complete oblivion.
But where else was that power?
She needed to figure it out.
What do you need to do first.
After all, everything is destroyed around
And there is no means, no strength, no hands.

30. And yet survived! At least in part.
On the field, working at the machines.
And even children are our happiness
Before the war, born into the war
Then they gave their work to the country.
Today they are old people.
But do not forget those terrible days
for them blockades are more terrible.

31. And honestly? They were offended:
Medal, double pension
Some "bosses" awarded,
And others have a different fate.
Yes! Leningraders are all respected.
And you won't read about others.
Not a line. Maybe even now
Will they remember you in the "tops of the high"?

32. Kursk, Stalingrad, Orel, Voronezh
And in those places all the rural people.
Where can you touch this topic?
Pour out your sorrows.
Recovery will remember the burden.
And they will shut up. It's time
"Leaders" to remember those
Who was "forgotten", as if it were a sin!

33. Thanks to all our peoples.
Everyone defended their father's house,
On stage, at the bench, on arable land
Everyone tried their hardest
Help the country then hungry.
And they sang songs ...... To the most fashionable
"In the dugout" song, of course,
Another blue handkerchief.

34. I would also like today
To say: everything moves, flows.
There will also be a national holiday.
But respect and honor
May you always be in your hearts.
And our authorities will not forget
No promises, no worries
Today, tomorrow, in a year,

35. And not on holidays - on duty

Pay tribute to the living and the fallen.
In the battlefield for a long time
They will be found. Create
They have gardens and groves
And more durable and easier.
Let them be: Rzhevsky, Kursk Garden
Like the memory of the soldiers sleeping there.

36. How many there are! Don't touch everyone
After all, you need to dig up the whole earth.
You can't find everyone, you can't bury them all.
And impossible to bury.
In "Myasny Bor" and "Pogostya"
All do not collect the dead bones.
And the sailors are in the water.
Looking for them all? When and where?

37. "Bora" let it remain so.
But in order to keep their memory to us
Let them “beat” somewhere nearby
Buddhist, Christian Temple.
Mosque of Islam, Synagogue
There are not so many religions.
Protestant can be poured into them.
After all, the dead have nothing to share.

38. Everyone fought for their homeland.
All the soldiers went into battle together.
Barely listed
Any nationality
You could give preference.
Was of great importance
In Victory that which was one
The people of those memorable years.

39. I'm not for bulks
Churches and temples there to raise.
You don't need to make them big.
Well, ten or five people.
There aren't many relatives.
For everyone, put a candle to God
And maybe remember with a cup
The one whose path passes by.

40. And so on every battlefield.
People will come to them.
Who is silent, and who is praying.
In sacred places maybe
Respect will be restored.
Later there will be rapprochement,
To give back to the ancestors together.
Then grace will come!

41. We know everything - to such a place
Silence always comes.
There is no place for anger and yelling.
And maybe then the country
He will find his way to unity.
Respecting each other's opinion
Customs and way of life
We will become one country.

Part 1
1941

1. That morning was warm, summer,
Plus weekends.
Children were walking in the streets
Adults have many things to do: to one
Guests must come
And those - to the beach "to warm the bones there."
Others hurry out of town
breathe ozone in the forest.

2. Although there were talks,
That a war is coming.
But it seemed to everyone that not soon.
And suddenly from the radio .... - She!
“That the Germans bombed the city,
That somewhere there were even victims.
That there is a battle going on along the border.
But the army will not let you down!”

3. No, there was no fear among the people.
“After all, our army is stronger!”
Well, it will be something "Finnish" like.
And we won it!
No wonder they sang about tankers.
The enemy in his own cradle
Then get ready to crash!
Win with one blow!

4. Yes, most of us are on that message.
Then calmly reacted:
Our troops are always there.
Didn't even think
And then I could not dream
That the enemy has crossed the border.
What is really in the rear of the German Prut.
That the enemy tanks are “rod” and “rod”.

5. And what about the troops? They are zealous
must come to readiness!
Two weeks notice
Was given. But so important
Here every day, sometimes a minute
Solves everything. But for some reason
The troops learned about the war
Only at night. And whose fault is it?

6. And where was our intelligence?
Did you know the hour had begun?
Carelessness? Which is not at all rare.
Or a delayed order?
The beginning, in a word, "missed"!
In addition, the tanks "frightened" us.
And the saboteurs "helped"
That they tore communications and burned warehouses.

7. We expected a blow from the south
To Ukraine, to "bread".
But it was necessary to "meet" them
In the West. Alas! Fate!
More than once a year forty-one

We'll get on our nerves in battles.
Brest, Minsk and Bialystok will fall
And the Germans will pour to the east.

8. But even then there are a handful of Victories
Already originated in a number of places.
The Black Sea Fleet repulsed the enemies,
The fortress of Brest held out for a month.
Lutsk, Brody, Minsk battle
They held back the advance of the enemy.
Smolensk and Kyiv and Uman
They brought their tribute to the Victory.

9. But it was all later.
So far, a quiet town.
The radio woke me up in the morning
And the factory horn woke up.
War seemed to us at first
distant. sounded on the radio
comforting speech,
What you need to protect the Motherland.

10. Trouble came to us with our own eyes,
When it's first hand.
We found out. June night.
There was a sudden knock at the door.
Opening the door, we were stunned,
Seeing Aunt Grelya with the children,
In one shirt under the coat.
The face is filled with chalk.

12. Suffering is palpable in the eyes.
And on the hands - a cluster of lived.
(We knew the pilot Uncle Tim
Then he served near Gomel).
Some of them were bombed by the Nazis
And there were fires in the city
Buildings and water were on fire.
It was only by a miracle that we got here.

13. Five days without water, without bread
The train was moving east.
The sky was black with smoke.
The Henkel pilot was cruel.
Flying at low level,
He drove people into the swamps.
He shot them down with a jet of air
And beat, and beat them on the spot.

14. My cousins,
(And they were then five years old).
From fear "crazy" simply.
And they couldn't understand
That they won't shoot at them here,
That the Germans won't get them here.
That they won't be left alone.
They are now with family.

15. Cherepovets was a quiet city
And the war was far away.
But the city of Tikhvin fell in winter
And there's only one to the east
Vela Railway.
Here is the bridge over Yagorboya "to touch"
The female platoon did not give the Germans.
Lowering the Junkers "into a collapse."

16. And there were just girls
At seventeen, eighteen years old.
I used to visit them every day
Bringing them lunch in a cistern.
Him on thin shoulders
Usually, as always in the evening,
The cook from the kitchen put on me
And every time he gave advice:

17. "Watch step, but be careful
Hurry, but don't rush.
You can't spill hot borscht!
If you spill it, I'll kill you, my soul!
When I returned back
He used to talk like that
"Well done! "lady's favorite"
Come here. I'll give you porridge!

18. Then the city was hungry.
Through him Siberians
Everyone walked and walked in marching order
Rifles on the back, Bayonets
At the belt are attached.
And in those brief moments
Sitting by the field kitchen,
I knew that I would be alive.

19. The fighters are all in white coats
(those were frosty days!)
Walked cheerfully "on business!"

We knew they would win!
With hope, people baptized them.
Fortunately, their mothers raised them.
Then some of them
Create a Panfilov detachment.

20. Tikhvin was released soon
Then the victory near Moscow.
I, on the "boyish grief",
Parted with the field kitchen.
The girls were sent somewhere.
Ah, if only to return those dates again.
I would run to them again.
Maybe give them the address.

21. Where are you now Marusya, Valya?
Where is your anti-aircraft machine gun?
And your boss is Aunt Galya,
(Her character is not honey!)
It was always business that mattered to her.
But how she sincerely sang,
When she has a festive dinner
We celebrated twenty years.

22. In those days there was a revival:
In battles not easy near Moscow
We have launched a counteroffensive!
And in this combat summary
Sadness has been replaced by hope.
What we have been waiting for has come true!
We have inflicted damage on the enemy.
A large area has been liberated.

23. According to our news,
The victory was important.
The enemy was thrown back two hundred miles away.
And the whole country got
Confidence in the Victory soon.
We didn't know everything at that time.
That further forces are not enough for those.
then success itself is changeable

24. I'm somehow in the winter waiting
I took Pravda from my mother's work.
There's a bold heading "TANYA"
I read on the page.
How my heart pounded:
Here it is - the beginning of the struggle.
Dies, but does not open his mouth.
Do not defeat such a people!

25. Ask questions today
Those who did not see that war:
Was that Matrosov the first?
Not so important for the country
Who was the first. Other important:
Then everyone would do it.
Like everyone who died in battle
Death took for his country

26. For life, soldiers did not dress up.
They didn't fight over ideas.
But you may not have been born.
If not for the victims - those people.
Those who smell of blood, sweat,
Whether a tanker, pilot, infantry
Whether soldier, marshal, general
He died in battle for you.

27. Today, our youth, Born in another country,
Steps like this, maybe
And do not understand. Well, quite
Maybe. During these years
They see freedom differently.
Another seduces their crown.
And the golden calf beckons

28. But I believe: They over the years
Overestimate the youthful look.
After all, our past is like a stone,
On the neck pulls us back.
"Great things are seen at a distance."
And only in a calm state
Together we will give birth to the truth.
And the lie will go away like blue smoke.

Part 2
1942

1. Success turned heads
But not to the soldiers, but to the leaders.
And the generals suggested
Again attack on all fronts.
At least the situation has changed.
And the move that helped in deftly
Achieve what he wants
In other conditions - doomed.

2.So is "Moscow luck"
Turned the heads of the headquarters.

An impossible task
They put the soldiers there:
"Achieve new successes,
Mark milestones to the border,
Defeat the enemy now, now!"
Forget about the many losses.

3. Decided on all fronts at once
WITH native land expel the enemy
In the Crimea, in the North Caucasus,
Victory was not to be known.
Voronezh, Kharkov - defeat.
Although in Sukhinichi - battle
We must pay tribute.
And operations - "Lyuban".

4. Yes, we shot down the German arrogance.
But they took a lot of damage.
And so they retreated again.
There were losses on both sides.
But ours is heavier. But still
We realized that the enemy could not
All the same to replenish the stock.
And our chances have increased.

5. Years have passed. Pod Host
(There is such a half-station!)
The bones are still being found
Those who have found their peace here.
Break the blockade.
There was no strength. But the word "should"
It sounded solid, like an order.
They attacked dozens of times.

6. Armed with whatever.
In the snow waist-deep we went forward.
Oh, how many Vyatkas disappeared there!
All strong, wiry people.
But after all, a rifle against a gun
Almost like a child's toy.
The peasant will not help to become,
When in the snow neither lie down nor stand up.

7. We underestimated the Wehrmacht
But he was still strong!
And our plans are those that were
He completely destroyed everything.
In the Crimea, near Kharkov, in Lyuban
Now he “gave us a bath”
And most importantly, this time
He came to the Volga and the Caucasus.

8. The result of those battles is known:
Desperately fought, but ...
Thousands have gone missing
They have been searching for a long time.
Find many trackers.
No! Not gone, but killed!
And they, how many do not count,
Honor has now been restored!

9. Oh, how my mother sobbed loudly.
How it hurt against the wall.
When the "funeral" came to us
(Father was killed in that war).
But! Notices are like an order.
"I died for the Motherland" I proudly
I read the text to my friends through tears.
After all, those who "disappeared without a trace"

10. Almost considered a traitor.
And they avoided their families.
Their children were not given pensions.
They were considered outcasts.
For a long time, children became grandfathers.
Everyone is tired of making excuses. The friend was one of them.
Who will apologize to him?

11. He was then twelve,
When the father's trace disappeared.
Shame and grief killed the mother.
He searched for the truth for forty years!
Under Yelnya our pathfinders
They found his father dead.
Find out about it then.
The family would not be in trouble.

12. Now, under eighty, young,
Once faced with a war.
You don't need to pluck the strings
Resentment against those who were in captivity,
Who strayed from their parts,
Who was born in the occupation.
Behind the prescription of past years
There are no faults behind them.

13. Forgiveness has been famous for centuries.
And they deserve their rest.

All who are old now.
What to do. Life was like that.
But the recovery of the whole country
fell on our generations,
Those who are now retired.
And those who are no longer among us!

14. Now they are talking about pensions:
For you, they say, youth pays.
Lies are evil, not otherwise!
In the country wherever you go
And cities. And they have factories.
Everything has been restored over the years.
Before the war and at the age of ten
Post-war. Not a secret

15. What “Ve. Ve. Pe." four-fifths
(Such is Paret's law!)
In the country we created guys!
And older than us. So from time immemorial
The entire economy is underway.
And ten years later
Include other people here
The one who retires.

16. Now there are thirty million of us,
Who has been "robbed" many times.
That with loans, as they say,
Then Khrushchev "cleaned" us.
They cheated us with vouchers.
Then they “shod” everyone with a “default”.
And for what kind of "guilt"
Everyone was given a pension?

17. They said "temporarily", of course.
But now twenty years have passed.
And in the Duma, "busy forever"
Himself!, “There is still no time!”
New laws giving birth
She looks like she's looking forward to:
When will we go to another world,
Not paying off with the country.

18. Yes! The country owes us a lot!
You can't get away from this truth!
But if the Duma understood,
That retirement is not youth
We must "deduct from the salary."
One tenth would be enough for us
Invest the wealth of the country in interest.
We could live without "benefits"!

19. The year was unsuccessful. Not right away,
Only by the summer it became clear to everyone.
Stalin also had to order
Resort "Two hundred and twenty-seven."
"In the headquarters" there were reshuffles.
In weapons - new "new clothes".

I had to not give up the Volga,
We will create the Stalingrad Front.

20. It went with varying success
In those days, fierce fighting.
But Stalingrad became that milestone
When already their troops
Not defensive, offensive
Long desired aspiration.
Cooked General base.
The blow was not weak.

21. And for the Nazis he was hidden.
They were waiting for us at Velikiye Luki.
On the Volga, the same agility
They did not expect. All around
Broken, burned, and the steppes
In defense - a golden degree
The approach of troops cannot be hidden.
Moreover, - dig trenches.

22. But slowly and steadily
Help came to us from the east.
She was hidden by the night and the slopes.
And the Volga flowed behind
For us, the last barrier.
Nobody thought of Stalingrad
Yield to fascist hordes.
"Beyond the Volga there will be no enemies!"

23. For every house, and for cellars
Our soldier-hero fought.
And these days it happened more than once
What hand-to-hand combat sometimes
Happened more than once in a day
And only "to the death" everyone fought.
And the winner was in it
The one who is smarter and who is stronger.

24. And on the twentieth day of November
First hit from both sides
Soldiers broke through the front of the Romanians
Vatutin. Deal damage
Enemy Eremenko. And together
Fought on both sides for two hundred days,
The enemy was closed "in the ring."
What was the end for him.

25. No, Paulus did not give up right away.
He was waiting for help from Goering.
His cold, clear mind
This time he gave a misfire.
We defeated Manstein's help.
And in Rossosh, where the warehouses were
And there was a big airfield,
The enemy has suffered a great defeat.

26. There in the Kantemirovskiy district
My father died in the January battle.
He was buried in a brotherly grave.
And in the same year and day by fate
(There are coincidences in life!)

And Brother got hurt.
It was a fragment of a mine.
And wore it for twenty years

27. He is in the muscles of the right atrium!
(So don't believe in miracles!)
We know Yuri is diligent
Then he treated Burdenko himself!
Thank you doctors and nurses!
You "did your duty simply!"
Didn't sleep for days sometimes.
We all need to pray for you!

27. The war rolled to the west
With fights we went forward.
Victory sun shone
over our country. People
Knew the sweet taste of good luck
And I began to smile more.
Now the country has believed:
The war will end with victory.

28. But the path to Victory is still long.
And it will probably be harder.
Walk to the Spree us from the Volga
There are many more days to come.
And the Germans are also hoarding strength.
(After all, they do not have little experience).
But we knew the taste of victory.
Rus' drove enemies more than once!

Part 3
1943

1. Year forty-three - a turning point
Now we beat the Nazis everywhere!
The contribution of Stalingrad was enormous.
Confidence was born in him.
I V Battle of Kursk confirmed.
From the Caucasus, evil spirits rolled.
Victories were everywhere in a row!

2. But Stalingrad was still the first,
Where the battle was for every house.
And where you need ingenuity, nerves.
Where can you move with difficulty?
Through rubble and ruins.
Along the way, there are mines everywhere.
And only a step to the enemy.
Fist fight instead of attacks.

3. The mound Mamaev has already been recaptured.
The second is a closed ring.
Enemy, understanding doom,
Began to give up. In the end,
That Battle of Stalingrad
Not Paulus defeat.
And the entire German army
Now she can't get up!

4. The entire front rolled to the west.
Our victories went in a row.
The Caucasus has already been liberated.
Leningrad breathed more freely.
Freed and Rzhev and Vyazma.
Is it possible to fight near Kursk
Forget where the Germans found death.
The troops have already gone beyond the Dnieper.

5. Got a lot of blood.
The losses were great.
The country sent to battle
New shelves from the rear.
And in the factories days and nights,
In the last straining urine,
People old and young worked
Bringing your own contribution to the Victory.

6. In the villages people are starving
They sold meat, cereals, bread.
And the truth was holy
So that our front is stronger and stronger.
“Everything is only for the front, for victory!”
So decided the women, grandfathers.
"Well, let the kids for now
Drink less milk."

7.No! Callousness did not show through here
And the pain in my heart was sharper.
It has become so difficult without men
Everyone wanted. To hurry up
They returned to repair and build,

And arrange a peaceful life again.
So that there is life in the villages.
The owner's land was waiting.

8. And in the land of the liberated
To native villages, cities,
Fled in the steppe of the Volga, Don
And survived the battle there,
Lines of people stretched.
In rags, blackened faces
All behind in a bag of scrub.
Who is sick, who is healthy, but weak.

9. And therefore they barely dragged themselves
To the native hearth.
They haven't eaten in weeks.
In winter they slept in the snow.
And if you're lucky: in a trench.
Gurt. Where even hard neck
Not like the body, turn.
But the way to the house is sweet and difficult!

10. They came. Eyes search in vain
Familiar, anything.
There is ashes instead of a house.
Desperation tightens his chest.
Everything has to start over.
Them, escaping only from hell,
No one waited or helped.
And each was built as best he could.

11. Today on private plots
Gardens are blooming at the houses.
Having lived to old age, fortunately,
They are waiting for their children and grandchildren.
But why didn't they give them
Not "commemorative medals"
And neither a postcard nor a leaf
They will not be congratulated with a couple of lines.

12. About this in the e-mail
I wrote to the President.
February and March passed. affected
The deadline for the answer is April. I was waiting.
Yes, I did not wait.
And with a firm opinion, I remained.
What is the power, having created your Law
Does not fulfill from the beginning.

13. But enough sad. Let's continue
About the war days story.
We came to the Dnieper from the Volga region
Another frontier meets us:
Pskov - Narva - Vitebsk - Sozh and Orsha.
(Only near Smolensk it was worse).
Goebbels lied about the "East Val"
He fought with his tongue.

14. We liberated Poltava.
Already beyond the Dnieper is our Stepnoy front.
And now Kyiv is taken with glory
And behind the German back
Another powerful battle:
There partisan movement
Gaining strength at that time
A second front opened in the rear.

15. So the third year of the military war
He brought success everywhere.
A lot of trophies taken, prisoners,
But the enemy had strength
Enough to defend.
They can't rise to more.
And our motto for the fourth year is:
"Forward. And only forward!”

16. For our complete victory.
For our pain. For a sea of tears.
So that New Year following,
Brought liberation.
The barren land is tired.
It's time to plow it.
But so that she can give birth.
She must be released!

Part 4
1944

1. The third period of war has come
Almost five hundred hard days.
What kind of resistance can we meet?
And will it be even more difficult?
The front, going to the west, narrowed.
The enemy "re-armed".
And he knew us better now.
A wounded animal is more dangerous.

2. But we liberated the country.
Behind us: truth, duty and honor.
Our compatriots were waiting for us.
They have an account with the Nazis.
This doesn't come in vain.
And "Ten Stalin's blows"
I had to get to know Germany.
They have intelligence, strategy and anger!

3. And the first thing to note here is
An incomparable contribution to the victory.
The fact of lifting the blockade completely
Leningrad became free again!
With him, the whole area was freed!
ABOUT! How my heart beat with happiness!
Fireworks on the city
And people cry and sing!

4. On all avenues there is a revival,
Winter. And there are flowers all around.
Hugs, toasts, congratulations.
And everyone you meet is a brother and friend!
All together, they became like family.
Didn't sleep the night. But on the weekend
Went to work in a factory
“The trumpet is calling for feats!

5. The second blow is already in the spring
It was planned for the Southern Bug.
Victory again:
Groups "A" and "South" were broken.

The remnants were driven back beyond the Dnieper.
The time has come according to the plans of the Stavka
Following the second battle.
Free us waiting for the Crimea.

6. In places where they rested in childhood,
The battles are heavy.
Nikolaev and Odessa taken
And the city of Simferopol is taken.
Behind him and Sevastopol soon.
Out to sea again
Our glorious Black Sea fleet.
Fatherland pride and stronghold.

7. Having celebrated the victory in May,
Our gaze is directed to the north.
They understand perfectly at the headquarters
There's a threat still
For our Northern Palmyra.
And what would be achieved in that place of the world
The “tops” of Finland should
Rather get out of the war.

8. The Karelian Front was the longest
From the sea to Ladoga native.
Throughout the war, he is at Petsamo
Didn't give up a single inch.
On the very northern border
In the region of the polar mountains.
The Nazis could not dream
That they will be given such a rebuff.

9 . Three and a half long years
The front kept the border in the castle.
And on a clear day and in bad weather
Murmansk supplied the army with everything.
Near, sometimes at a half-station
Tanks were repaired there
And with food and water tank
They dragged several dogs.

10. Our generations need to know
accustomed to combinations "VAZ"
There are no cars, but deer
Carried loads hundreds of times.
Like this! Russian savvy
The rifle will be made from a stick.
And it is necessary, so it will kill the enemy
From the "tarpaulin boot".

11. Note Mannerheim's wisdom.
Finding no way to invade
He further "powdered his brains" to the Germans,
Only skirmishes are local leading.
Can't cross the border...
He preferred "in the hands of a titmouse."
(Maybe our city loved?)
But with him the world was worthy!

12. But there is no victory without a battle!
We still need to fight.
The Karelian Front is on the move
And the Leningrad Front again
Went down the familiar path.
Although the troops were given strict orders
Go with the fights until
While in that former treaty

13. We will not enter the territory.
Politics is important to us here:
“We won’t give up an inch more.
And we don't need "their" land."
The rout then was complete, fast.
And the enemy could not withstand the pressure.
Accepted the terms and conditions.
So the war ended there.

14. As before, the first on Victory Day
Will pass through Red Square
Karelian consolidated regiment. That grandfathers
Honor deserved. Every year
Since then, we have not changed the order.
Pass the grandchildren of heroes in it
Those memorable distant years.
And there is no better honor!

15. What is called "fifth strike"
I'm not going to tell you everything.
Then the Soviet soldiers
Liberated Belarus,
And part of Lithuania and even Poland.
Now we have become more Germans
On their border to threaten.
Can't keep us going

16. Their troops fled beyond the Vistula,
Huge damage.
Now hung over Prussia
The threat of surrender. That rout
And it affected the Baltics.
There it was in two parts
The German "North" is dissected
And this was what he was doomed to.

17. The sixth blow is known to the world
When Lvov was liberated.
Having created a bridgehead near Sandomierz
The Ukrainian Front was ready
Go further on the offensive.
But it was necessary, unfortunately,
Troops get some rest
And pull up the Front in the south.

18. The seventh strike, as it became clear
Was sent to Chisinau.
The defeat of the German troops at Iasi
Added clarifications to the plans again:
surrender to the Romanians,
(This "mine" was a hindrance)
And to force the Bulgarians to peace.
And there was a double whammy.

19. The eighth blow with the "Courland Cauldron"
Known to all in history.
In that battle, with the release of Finland,

Lithuania, Estonia, then
And Latvia was liberated.
We won in the Baltics.
And again with the battles went forward.
Now it was Prussia's turn.

20. Kick ninth starting
We understood that the country
Now to Tisza and Danube
liberated from the Germans.
And help the Czechs, Yugoslavs
We can render glory.
And the Hungarians (being in captivity)
They will declare war on Hitler!

21. The tenth was sent straight
Remove all threats from Murmansk.
And again (Finnish Petsamo)
Take Pechenga to your native land
More Norwegian people
We helped bring freedom back.
And so that on the Northern Way
Go easy with loads.

22. These are the results for one year.
Now the whole country is free.
Let only grandchildren, children remember,
Russia does not need a war.
But to defend your native land
Everyone needs it all the time.
And arguments are irrelevant here.
After all, this is our duty and honor

Part 5
1945

1. The end of the war is now near.
But the enemy is still strong.
Belorussian Front, Baltic Fleet
German "Center" from all sides
The troops were tightly surrounded.
In vain "North" decided
Name the Nazis Army.
They had to go to hell!

2. The blow is aimed powerful, accurate.
The enemy was completely destroyed.
And now over East Prussia.
The flag of our victory is blowing!
On the Koenigsberg fortifications
The attack was more difficult.
But the fleet and tanks on both sides
They inflicted damage on the enemy.

3. April the ninth is a holiday again:
Pal Koenigsberg. For this Lash
Was sentenced to death.
But death - he chose our captivity.
All have small losses.
But here we opened the doors
To Berlin. The goal was close.
She's like a bullet to the temple

4. Alluring, but dangerous.
Everyone knew it would be a tough fight.
The last fight is always more dangerous.
And as fate would have it
Human casualties are inevitable.
But if earlier, in the battles of the past
We could hardly imagine
End of the war. And sweet home.

5. It seemed to us a distant happiness.
We put up with that: in the war.
Good luck was expected, though not often.
After all, you can completely avoid
Whistling bullet and shrapnel
You just don't have to be afraid.
But that last winter
Everyone wanted to come home.

6. And now, in April, May,
When it's spring, it's warm.
Everyone, even understanding the reality,
I wanted to be lucky.
And so they were angry.
The soul hoped. But the body
As before, sacrificing yourself,
Went without fear to the last battle.

7. We were waiting for victory. But still
This hour took us by surprise.
This May day was fine.
Suddenly in the morning woke us all
Neighbors crying and loud voice.
And I thought: "Funeral"
The postman brought it to her this morning.
But I heard these tears

8. Some kind of joy shade.
I went out onto the porch. She
(Neighbour) shouted: Gena!
The war ended today!
The whole house is excited by the scream
They even came from neighboring countries.
Hugs, tears and "Hurrraa!!
The streets were rushing in the morning.

8. Of course, everyone left the house.
The crowd floats down the street.
And congratulates everyone you meet.
And everyone calls to his house.
(Where did you get the wine?)
And everyone cried and sang!
And disabled people and soldiers
Take into your home
Everyone was happy.

9. On that day, a beardless boy
Then at the age of 15.
Still not knowing the taste of vodka,
Broke my promise.
"Don't drink, by any means!"
However, oncoming disabled
(one without arms, one without legs)

I couldn't refuse that day!

10. In Moscow, from many guns
Fireworks sounded that evening.
People were celebrating everywhere.
Haven't seen this before.
Everyone was in a joyful frenzy.
The second time was when Gagarin
He flew into space.
And so did the people celebrate.

11. Then they met soldiers from the war.
Not everyone returned to their father's house.
Leaving behind sorrows
We got back to work:
Everything, everything fell on our shoulders:
In places where only stoves stuck out
Build villages, cities,
Factories again return there.

12. Clear arable land from metal,
Sow grass and bread.
Yes, we were afraid to start.
But duty, and will, and fate
They helped us overcome fear.
Restored in ten years
A destroyed third of the country,
To erase the traces of the war.

13. But here's the question: Where to go
Could we have built a garden?
We "build new" for twenty years
And they just came back!
The villages are empty. Pipe factories
They don't smoke anymore. The people became rude.
And the country is full of beggars.
There is only one joy for everyone - wine.

14. No! We didn't want that!
And we were proud of that country!
Tell us: where did everything go?
After all, the "oligarchs" in another world
They won't take their wealth with them.
They have no friendship, no brotherhood.
And there is no spiritual cross.
Their lives are meaninglessly empty.

15.God be with them! Their fate will teach.
I know that in twenty years
For them - descendants will be tormented.
And life and conscience. Their trace
Will be erased in the history of the country.
Wealth will somehow disperse.
And they will carry each other
Descendants of the application to the court.

15. But, discontent among the masses is smoldering.
Only fifteen years will pass.
And grandchildren, those that are braver than us,
They need an answer!
And not in a crowd - in a single system:
"We are building a homeland today"
Give us our all.
Not that - a civil war!

16. I don't want to be a "prophet."
But rebellion in Russia - every century!
It's time to learn the lessons
That a Russian is a PERSON.
And that Russian laws
ONE for ALL and the thesis thereof
It's time for everyone to learn.
So as not to reach the ax!

17. Let's have a glorious time
Let's give ourselves a vow.
That we should all be one.
What justice is a lesson
The lesson of legality is the basis
Any country. What did you say -
Die but do it
For the good of others. Nothing

18. There is no need for another.
Search far.
Tips are stupid! Here and around
We need to create order!
Then how the Phoenix will rise
Russia. We just need to work.
And more! Loving the Motherland
Both for her and for myself!

* These publications were made as part of an Internet project dedicated to the centenary of the start of the First World War. One of the priorities of this project is to restore the memory of forgotten heroes those years. Brochures for Internet publication were provided by Evgeniy Vitalyevich Lozovsky, collector-researcher, author of a number of publications on the history of Russian awards.

Today on our coffee table is the Russian analogue of IWN - Chronicle of War. The tasks and nature of the publication are almost the same. The difference is only in national specifics. There is "news", we have a "chronicle".
One such chronicle already existed and quite recently, in 1904-05. "Chronicle of the war with Japan", so there was experience.

The Chronicle of the War with Japan, edited by Major General D. Dubensky, was declared in the very first issue as "material for a future historian", which, of course, corresponded to the term "chronicle".
chronicle great war- continuation of the same project of the court historiographer Dmitry Nikolaevich Dubensky and under his patronage. In the new chronicle, Dmitry Nikolaevich stated about the same goals: "The editors will make every effort to ensure that our publication is not only completely scientific, but also unconditionally artistic."

(D.N.Dubensky)

On the other hand, despite all Dubensky's statements about scientificity, the reader is struck by the archaic and patriotic pathos right from the cover. "In the summer from ... .. and the creation of the world 7422." Or: "History tells us that the integrity and independence of Austria and Prussia were entirely a matter of generosity of the Russian Sovereigns."

Another one interesting feature"Chronicle", which is hard not to notice, is the active use of someone else's photographic material. All pictures western front taken from IWN. And this. good in our opinion. The domestic reader, for the most part, did not have access to the allied press due to military reasons. But he could, having bought the Chronicle for 35 kopecks, get acquainted with a good selection of Western photo reports.

(Photo collage taken from IWN. See previous post)

Otherwise, the structure of the material in the rooms corresponded to the best British standards: on the first pages - the most august persons and official documents, then everything else. Chronicle of hostilities, photos of the awarded and fallen, brief notes about the heroes.

(Legend of the war - Cossack Kozma Kryuchkov, who later died during another civil war)

I must say that the magazine was a success and achieved its goals. Today, a hundred years after the start of that great conflict, the Chronicle is a very valuable material not only for historians, but also for lovers of Russian antiquity.
The Department of Periodicals of the GPIB has a complete set of the Chronicle of War, which you, dear friends, can familiarize yourself with in our reading room. "Chronicle" is also available on the Internet, thanks to the efforts of Dmitry Kovrizhin.
