About BGITU
Bryansk State Engineering and Technology Academy is one of the oldest universities in the city of Bryansk. It was opened as a forest engineering institute in 1930. In the prewar years, the university was renamed the Bryansk Forestry Institute, then in 1960 the Bryansk Technological Institute. In connection with the development of the university in 1995, the Bryansk Institute of Technology was reorganized into the Bryansk State Engineering and Technology Academy (BGITA). In 2013, the academy passed state accreditation (certificate No. 0588 dated April 24, 2013). Currently, BGITA is a multidisciplinary university that trains bachelors and masters in 12 full-time and correspondence forms learning. The academy includes 5 faculties, 29 departments, an educational and experimental forestry enterprise, postgraduate studies, a center for pre-university training and additional vocational education, scientific and technical library.
To ensure the educational process and High Quality training of specialists, the academy has a modern educational, laboratory and research base, which is constantly being improved. IN educational process technological and experimental equipment is used, more than 800 personal computers united in computer networks with access to the Internet.
In Academy great attention is given to the creative and cultural development of students. Student youth improve their skills in circles of ballroom and variety dances, vocals, vocal and instrumental ensembles, clubbing and resourceful.
For recreation and recreation, students annually receive more than 500 vouchers to health centers located on the Black Sea coast. The academy has a student council and a trade union organization of students that protect their rights and interests, organize living conditions and improve students' health.
