Correspondence education at the university after college. Do colleges take exams? Do I need to take the exam for those who want to study further

More than 40% of Grade 9 graduates leave school and go on to college. The college education program based on 9 classes includes the simultaneous acquisition of secondary general education. But you have to study for 3 years 10 months. Can a college student not wait for graduation, but take the exam earlier, get a certificate of secondary general education and continue their studies at a university?

college students studying general education disciplines in the first and second courses. Therefore, after completing their second year of college education, they have the right to pass the state final certification, upon successful completion of which they are issued a certificate of secondary general education.

Where to apply for the exam?

If the college is accredited, then the application for passing the exam must be submitted to the college itself. If the college or technical school does not have such accreditation - the application must be submitted together with graduates of previous years - at the application points designated by regional authorities.

For admission to the exam, you must submit a certificate from the college confirming the development educational programs secondary general education or completion of the development of educational programs of secondary general education in the current year.

How to get a certificate?

After passing the state final certification (USE), a college student has the right to receive a certificate (part 6 of article 68 of the Federal Law on Education). However, this issue may be technically difficult.

Option 1 - the college has a certificate of accreditation for the secondary education program

The certificate can be issued only by educational organizations that have a certificate of state accreditation for the educational program of secondary general education. If the college has accreditation, the student can easily get a college certificate and continue his education in the secondary program vocational education while trying to get into college.

Option 2 - the college does not have a certificate of accreditation for the secondary education program

In practice, most colleges do not have such a certificate.

Official clarifications on this issue suggest that students attach to any educational organization that is accredited as an external student in order to pass the GIA and receive a certificate.

But for enrollment as an external student, schools require original documents. A student can ask the college administration to issue him a certificate on the basis of paragraph 37 of the Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation dated June 14, 2013 N 464 "On approval of the procedure for organizing and implementing educational activities in educational programs of secondary vocational education"

37. A document on education submitted upon admission to an educational organization is issued from a personal file to a person who graduated from an educational organization, left before graduating from an educational organization, as well as to a student and who wants to enter another educational organization, at his request. At the same time, a certified copy of the document on education remains in the personal file. (Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation of June 14, 2013 N 464 "On approval of the Procedure for organizing and implementing educational activities in educational programs of secondary vocational education")

It is also possible to find an educational organization that will not require original documents for enrollment as an external student. Typically, this option is provided evening schools. A student can be attached as an external student to an evening school, receive a certificate, without providing original documents on education and without being expelled from the college. So it will be possible to receive a certificate of completion of 11 classes without dropping out of college.

Legal grounds

Letter of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia dated March 17, 2015 N 06-259 "On the submission of revised recommendations on the organization of secondary general education within the framework of mastering educational programs of secondary vocational education on the basis of basic general education, taking into account the requirements of federal state educational standards and the profession or specialty of secondary vocational education received "

Letter of Rosobrnadzor dated February 17, 2014 N 02-68 "On passing the state final certification in educational programs of secondary general education by students in educational programs of secondary vocational education"

Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation of June 14, 2013 N 464 "On approval of the Procedure for organizing and implementing educational activities in educational programs of secondary vocational education"

Since new educational standards obligated schoolchildren to take exams in the form of a unified state test, Russian eleventh-graders and their parents devote the entire last year of study to preparing for the exam. Do their peers, who went to vocational schools after the 9th grade, go through this test?

Do they take the exam at a technical school or college

In a number of colleges and technical schools in our country, the state exam cannot be avoided: first- or second-year students mastering parallel study programs must pass the Unified State Examination at the end of the academic year. After that, they receive a full-fledged certificate of completion of 11 classes.

This gives you the option to:

  1. Continue your studies at a secondary specialized educational institution.
  2. Get into the institute.

There are also colleges in which exams are optional.

Do not be afraid that the study of special and major disciplines will outweigh the training in general subjects. At the beginning of training, special disciplines are given much less time than later, and the emphasis is on the school curriculum. The main compulsory subjects remain the Russian language and mathematics, regardless of the profile of the college and the specifics of the chosen profession. In case of lack of preparation, it makes sense to contact tutors or sign up for preparatory courses.

Do I need to take the exam after college

Such a need arises for a graduate only in one case: if he decided to change his profession and is going to enter a university of a completely different direction. For example, after receiving a diploma in economics or accounting, yesterday's student abruptly changes priorities and is going to enter the Faculty of History or Chemistry and Biology.

If a graduate intends to continue studying accounting and economics at the university, then passing the Unified State Exam is not mandatory for him - profile entrance examinations are enough, if such are provided for by the rules recent years. Many colleges provide their students with a number of privileges, one of which is enrollment immediately in the third year of a certain institute.

But every educational norm has specific loopholes:

  • Russians who have graduated from a technical school or college in the near abroad have the right to enter an institute without passing the exam by simply passing the entrance exams.
  • Citizens of the CIS who have received secondary education do not pass the exam special education corresponding to the profile of the university. Residents of Uzbekistan and Georgia need to confirm their diplomas.

What will have to be submitted

Mathematics and Russian are compulsory subjects. The choice of other disciplines depends on the specialty. At the request of the applicant, the following are submitted:

  1. Chemistry.
  2. Physics.
  3. Story.
  4. Social science.
  5. Geography.
  6. Biology.
  7. Foreign languages (oral and written).
  8. Literature.
  9. Informatics (ICT).

For each subject, the minimum number of points is determined and the time frame for the examination is set.

Thresholds for admission to universities:

  • Social science - 42;
  • Informatics - (ICT) 40;
  • Geography and literature - 38;
  • Russian language, physics, chemistry and biology - 36;
  • History - 32;
  • Mathematics - 27;
  • Foreign language - 22.

Almost 4 hours are given for the delivery of mathematics, literature, computer science, physics and social science. The Russian language and the history of Russia require 3 hours and 30 minutes, and exactly 3 hours are allotted to those who choose foreign language, biology, geography and chemistry.

If the result is unsatisfactory

If you did not get enough points, do not rush to give up: there are opportunities to improve the result by retaking in additional terms or filing an appeal. If you have not scored the minimum scores in all selected subjects, then re-taking is allowed only next year.

Is it possible to do without additional exams

It turns out that in most cases it is possible. Previously, 24 institutes and universities used the right to conduct their own entrance examinations. Now their numbers have been drastically reduced. In 2015, only five higher educational institutions:

  • Moscow State University (at all faculties);
  • St. Petersburg State University;
  • MGUA them. Kutafin (specialty "jurisprudence");
  • MSLU (“translation and translation studies”);
  • Nizhny Novgorod State Linguistic University(8 directions, including political science).

The rest of the universities are ordered to accept new students based on the results of the USE. Choosing the direction of higher education, a college or technical school graduate must decide: without additional difficulties, follow the usual path, without turning anywhere, or test their knowledge and enroll in any other university.

Innovations in the order of GA students of schools and colleges

Innovations to face:

Bonuses for personal success

The innovations of 2015 are not limited to the adjustment of the state examination procedure.

Universities got the opportunity to “attribute” a certain number of points to the grades obtained at the Unified State Examination for the personal merits of the applicant.

For the norms of the TRP add:

  • at Moscow State University - 4;
  • St. Petersburg State University - 3;
  • MGIMO, HSE and MSUA - 1.

A diploma or certificate with honors will give:

  • at Moscow State University - 6;
  • St. Petersburg State University - 1;
  • MGIMO - 3;
  • HSE - 2;
  • MGUA - 5.

And finally, the essay will result in a head start:

  • at St. Petersburg State University - 1;
  • HSE, Moscow State Law Academy, Moscow State University - 10.

Each university has its own system of "additions" to the results of state certification. The leadership of the Moscow State Pedagogical University stated that their university will add up to 15 points for individual achievements in total:

  • for success in sports - 3;
  • certificate with honors - 2;
  • participation in competitions and olympiads - 5;
  • essay - 5.

More detailed information about the number of bonus points can be found on the websites of higher education institutions.

The USE is considered an indicator of the success of education and a measure of the level of knowledge given to a student at a school, college or technical school. For some, this exam is like a punishment that cannot be avoided. For others, it is an opportunity to get into a university. For the third - a way to choose the best road, which you will need to go all your life. Whether to take the USE in college is up to you. Choose.

How to enter the university if you have already graduated from the SPO.

According to the National Research University Higher School of Economics, every 10th applicant enters a university without passing the exam, that is, from a college. It's not uncommon to get higher education SPO graduates can on an accelerated program. Get Online answers the most popular questions of those who want to go to university after college.

Do I need to take the exam if I want to go to university after college?

Usually not needed. According to the rules, each university sets the procedure for entrance examinations for college graduates. Universities have the right to use the USE, but in practice, almost no one does this.

Most often, it is enough to pass internal entrance exams in three (sometimes four) subjects. This rule is common to all forms of education: full-time, evening and part-time.

What exams do you need to take?

College graduates take as many entrance exams as high school graduates (on the USE). Usually these are general education subjects: physics, computer science, Russian, etc. But if you graduated from college and are entering a related specialty, the university, at its discretion, can replace one of the general exams with a comprehensive professional test.

Lists of internal exams for college graduates should always be checked on the website of the university.

What if I passed the exam, but then went to college?

You can use your USE results instead of internal exams for university admission. This makes sense if you high scores. But you need to remember that the results of the exam are valid only four years from the date of delivery (that is, the points of 2018 can be used until 2022 inclusive).

Often, universities allow you to combine the results of the exam and internal tests (for example, if you did not pass computer science, but passed physics after grade 11). In particular, this is what MIREA does.

Can I study at a university for free?

Yes: by law, college graduates can enter the budget department of the university and study for free. Paid training is, of course, also possible.

When can you do it? Are there time limits?

Whenever. There are no time limits. Every college graduate can continue their studies at the university at any time.

On the contrary, this rule, by the way, also works: if you graduated from a university, you have the right to go to college and study for free. Get a second job, for example.

Do I have to enter my specialty or can I choose a new profession?

You can choose any profession. Your college major does not limit your choice of university. You can, say, go to journalism after a polytechnic vocational school. The main thing is to pass the entrance exams.

Another thing is an accelerated training program, when you start studying at a university right from the 3rd year. College graduates can graduate faster than those who entered on the basis of the results of the Unified State Examination - but only if they are credited with the passed subjects. Those who have not studied within the framework of the ACT, for example, humanitarian sciences, will not be able to skip courses on them at the university and will study according to general program, from the 1st course.

How do universities evaluate internal exams for college graduates?

Like the USE, these exams are graded on a 100-point scale. Applicants from colleges, like high school graduates, participate in the competition with the sum of points.

What course can you take?

For some programs, those who graduated from college can go directly to the 3rd year of the university. This is the accelerated learning curve. But it all depends on what subjects you studied in the framework of the secondary vocational education program.

How to get into the accelerated form of training?

Graduates of secondary vocational education who have successfully passed the exams are enrolled in the 1st year of the university. After that, you can write to the dean's office an application for transfer to an accelerated form of study. The university will consider it and re-credit the subjects already passed in the college, if this can be done. The easiest way to enroll in an accelerated program is if the specialty code at the university is the same as the specialty code at the college.

It must be remembered that not all universities are ready to teach students on a special schedule. More than 400 accelerated college graduate programs are now open in universities. But, unfortunately, their number is gradually decreasing.

Check the website of the chosen university to see if there is an accelerated study program. After all, for example, at the faculties at Moscow State University it is not. The reason is that college and university courses, even in the same subjects, sometimes differ greatly in difficulty.

Are there colleges at universities?

There are! Admission there after the 9th grade is perhaps the easiest way not to take the exam, but still get into a university. There are colleges at many major universities. This is a well-established system, which is usually easy to integrate into.

How is the competition in colleges?

Applicants who go to college after high school participate in the competition on the basis of points. That is, often admission to the SVE program is just a competition for certificates after the 9th or 11th grade.

But there are colleges that enroll applicants through a competition of grades only for core subjects. In this case, the commission identifies three profile disciplines and looks at the average score for them. Average score of the entire certificate in this case is needed only if two applicants have the same final grade for the “profile”.

For admission to the creative and sports majors in colleges, you usually need to pass additional exams: For example, drawing.

How to prepare for internal exams at the university?

Often, demo versions of internal entrance exams for graduates of secondary vocational education can be found on the website of the university. You can use these materials in your preparation, find a tutor, or take preparatory courses. Their cost is usually not very high: from 10 to 15 thousand rubles for the entire course. Some universities even have separate preparatory programs for graduates of specialized and non-core colleges.

You can find out about the preparatory courses, if any, on the website of the selected university.

The procedure for admission to the USE for students in secondary vocational education programs who do not have secondary general education has been clarified.

Letter from Rosobrnadzor dated February 1, 2019 N 10-51-127 / 10-129 “On the participation in the USE of students who do not have a secondary general education”:

It is reported that in accordance with the Order of the Ministry of Education of Russia and Rosobrnadzor dated 07.11.2018 N 190/1512, students in secondary vocational education programs who do not have secondary general education (hereinafter referred to as SVE students) have the right to pass the state final certification (GIA), which completes the development educational programs of general secondary general education.

Students of secondary vocational education who receive secondary education as an external student are entitled to take the GIA, provided they receive marks not lower than satisfactory at the intermediate certification and receive a "credit" for the final essay (statement). As the results of intermediate certification, the student of SPO can be credited with the results of mastering subjects, courses, disciplines (modules), practice, additional educational programs in other organizations. For admission to the exam, an external student must present a certificate confirming the development of educational programs of secondary general education or the completion of mastering educational programs of secondary general education in the current year. At the same time, the requirement to issue this certificate only by organizations that carry out educational activities for educational programs of secondary general education, secondary vocational education (having state accreditation of educational programs of secondary general education), not established.

SVE students have the right to participate in the USE, bypassing the registration procedure as external students in an educational organization that implements educational programs of secondary general education. In this case, students of SPO participate in the final essay (statement) at will, in addition, students of SPO choose only those USE subjects that they need to enter universities. When applying for participation in the Unified State Examination in this case, it is necessary to present a certificate from the educational organization in which the person is studying, confirming the development of educational programs of secondary general education or the completion of the development of programs of secondary general education in the current academic year. Presentation of a certificate of mastering open source software in this case is not allowed. A certificate of secondary general education in this case is not issued.

Persons who have received a certificate of education confirming that they have received secondary vocational education may participate in the Unified State Examination, including if they have operating results USE past years. In this case, a diploma of secondary vocational education is presented. When submitting an application, the student must present the certificate from the educational organization in which he is studying, confirming the development of educational programs of secondary general education or the completion of the development of educational programs of secondary general education in the current academic year. It is not required to present an academic certificate of the student of the vocational school.

17.1. Natalia!

Single State exam(USE) is a form of final state certification after completing training in a complete (general) education program.

Accordingly, in order to pass the exam, it is necessary to master this program V general education school, night school or still finish college.

I recommend that you either recover in college and after graduation, having received a diploma of secondary vocational education, as well as choosing a university, enroll in it according to internal tests, or taking an academic certificate in college, study at an evening school, pass the Unified State Examination and enter the university based on its results .

Just like that, passing the exam after 1 year in college will not work, because, based on the question, you have only a basic general education. One academic certificate for passing the exam is not enough, even if it indicates that you have completed the program for grades 10-11!
