“The task is to collect indicators on meteorological instruments that are located in our integrated weather station, for example, 760 millimeters of pressure, temperature, humidity, radiation level,” explained Galina Radko, head of the educational program for meteorology and geomorphology.
For 21 days, schoolchildren from all over the country not only rested at sea, but also studied under the conditions of the profile shift of the Russian Geographical Society in Orlyonok. The competition is growing every year - this time 700 best experts in geography applied for 100 places.
“The most important thing that children get here is a conscious, very careful attitude towards the environment. They are learning to be ecologists, people who will leave their planet to their future children and grandchildren,” said Alexander Dzheus, director of the Orlyonok All-Russian Children’s Center.
Here they know exactly how to teach children to love and appreciate the nature of Russia. The territory of the camp is three hundred hectares - more than some European countries. 3. Procedure for holding the Competition
3.1. For the purposes of holding the Contest, a Commission is formed for the selection of participants in the profile shifts of the Company (hereinafter referred to as the Commission).
3.2. The Commission is formed from representatives of the Executive Directorate of the Company and is approved by the Executive Director of the Company.
3.3. Functions of the Commission:
3.3.1. Collection and processing of documents provided by the participants of the Competition.
3.3.2. Formation of the base of the portfolio of the participants of the Competition.
3.3.3. Selection of participants of the Contest for participation in the Company's specialized shifts in the children's centers "Change", "Orlyonok", "Ocean", "Artek" in 2017 in accordance with the requirements of these Regulations.
3.3.4. Formation of preliminary, final and reserve lists of participants in the Company's profile shifts in the children's centers Smena, Orlyonok, Okean, Artek.
3.4. All decisions of the Commission are taken collectively and documented in protocols.
3.5. Decisions of the Commission are considered adopted by a simple majority of votes if more than half of the total number of members of the Commission was present at the meeting.

4. Requirements for the selection of participants in the Competition
4.1. Participants of profile shifts - students educational organizations mastering educational programs of basic general, secondary general and secondary special education who are citizens Russian Federation those who are interested in geography, who have shown success in the framework of the school curriculum, who have shown themselves in extracurricular activities and in the projects of the Society, prize-winners and winners of Olympiads in geography, ecology, ethnography, local history and other subjects.
4.2. Principles of competitive selection of participants:
4.2.1. Openness - participation in the competition is open to everyone who meets the requirements of the Regulations on the competition.

4.3. Competitive selection is carried out:
For a profile shift in the children's center "Change" - among students in grades 5-10 of general education educational institutions aged 10 to 17 years inclusive;
For a profile shift at the Orlyonok children's center - among students in grades 5-10 of general educational institutions aged 11 to 16 inclusive;
For a profile shift in the children's center "Ocean" - among students in grades 3-10 of general educational institutions aged 10 to 17 years inclusive;
For a profile shift at the Artek children's center - among students in grades 3-10 of general educational institutions aged 10 to 17 years old inclusive. Additional restrictions may be due to the rules for admission to children's centers.
4.4. Medical Requirements- compliance with health group 1-2-3.
4.5. As part of the first stage of the Contest, participants fill out a portfolio on the Contest website (http://volunteer.rgo.ru). A prerequisite is the completion of all portfolio items and the provision of supporting documents, namely:

4.7.2. Academic achievement, the presence of victories and prizes in municipal, regional, interregional, All-Russian (All-Russian), international Olympiads, competitions, reviews in geography, ecology, ethnography and other subjects.
4.7.3. Participation in festivals, competitions, olympiads in geography and related sciences, active participation in children's and youth organizations and movements, participation in socially useful activities, including volunteering.
4.8. When selecting participants in the profile shifts of the Company, the age and level of training of the contestants are taken into account. Also Special attention is given to the winners and prize-winners of regional, city Olympiads in geography, ecology, winners and prize-winners of youth competitions in geography, biology, history, ecology, tourism, archeology, local history, ethnography and other related disciplines. 4.9. As part of the second stage of the Competition, participants must provide the Commission with copies of the following documents:

5. Final provisions
5.1.
