Professions in subjects zno. English, French, German and Spanish

When entering a university in 2019, it is mandatory to have a ZNO certificate in Ukrainian language and literature. In addition, you need to choose the second and third subjects, they depend on the specialty. What subjects of ZNO need to be taken for admission to a teacher, journalist, lawyer, psychologist, economist, programmer, manager, lawyer, dentist, translator, veterinarian. See below the list of competitive subjects by specialty in 2019.

Only four subjects can be selected for passing the external independent assessment. At the same time, when calculating the points, the results of the ZNO are taken only for three:

  • Ukrainian language and literature It is a compulsory subject for all majors.
  • mathematics or history of Ukraine(period of the XX-beginning of the XXI century) (second compulsory subject)
  • third item to choose from: mathematics, history of Ukraine, English, Spanish, German or French, biology, geography, physics, chemistry (depending on the specialty).

Competitive subjects for which it is necessary to provide certificates of ZNO are determined by the Conditions for admission to higher educational institutions in 2019, depending on the chosen specialty.

In 2019, certificates of ZNO 2017, 2018, 2019 are accepted for admission. Foreign languages are an exception - only the 2019 certificate is considered valid.

In the last few years, cardinal changes have taken place in the system of secondary education in Ukraine. One of the innovations of the educational reform was the introduction of a system of external independent assessment (EIA). It allows you to get a general impression of the level of educational preparation of schoolchildren and opens the doors to higher education institutions for applicants. Participation in independent assessment is always very exciting for students and does not take place without careful preparation. What awaits ZNO participants in 2020, how to pass the preliminary test, and what points to focus on, you will learn from this article.

Basic principles

ZNO in translation from Ukrainian sounds like Zovnishne nezalezhne otsіnyuvannya, or External Independent Evaluation (VNO). For the first time the event was held in 2007 after the start of the educational reform, and since 2008, to submit documentation to universities, the presence of a certificate of passing independent testing has become a prerequisite.

ZNO is both a final exam for a school and an entrance exam for an institute, university or academy. Throughout the country, assessment is organized simultaneously without interruption with the same conditions for all participants.

The UNO is built according to the type of testing, where the participant, in order to answer the question asked, must choose the option that is correct in his opinion from the indicated ones. Also, depending on the subject, the test person may be asked to give a detailed answer, make notes on contour map, make a logical pair, graph or sequence.

Not only current graduates, but also students of previous years who did not pass the test, have the right to pass the EIT. Graduates need to take into account the fact that the ZNO certificate has a limited validity period. And if the applicant did not have time to submit documents to the university within the specified time, he will have to take the tests again under the new program.

Innovations awaiting schoolchildren in 2020

Adjustments are made to the rules for conducting ZNO every year, which are recommended to be monitored regularly so as not to miss important news. The results of the discussion on all innovations will be announced closer to the beginning of 2020, but some information has already been leaked to the media:

  • In 2020, vocational school students will also have to take the ZNO. As a rule, these are second-year students who complete their secondary education. Previously, representatives of schools and technical schools were exempted from testing.
  • Due to the low performance of mathematical tests in previous years, it was decided to include exact science in the list of disciplines required to pass.
  • Changes may also affect the validity of ZNO certificates. Now they are valid for three years from the date of passing the tests. Until now, this allowed those applicants who missed the campaign due to illness or military service to enter universities. In 2020, students may lose this opportunity - they plan to reduce the “validity” of certificates to 1 year.
  • Assessment in foreign languages until 2019 inclusive was carried out exclusively on an optional basis. But there are proposals to make ZNO in foreign languages mandatory.
  • In 2019, tests on foreign languages for applicants for masters and bachelors are conducted on an experimental basis. Now testing of this kind has every chance of becoming mandatory.
  • ZNO is adapted for visually impaired and blind children, as well as schoolchildren with handicapped. The methodology for conducting assessments continues to improve, so that in the new year, children with special needs should have more opportunities to fully pass the EIT.

What is to be submitted

All schoolchildren who intend to enter any of the universities of Ukraine will pass the EIT according to:

  • Ukrainian language and literature (mandatory for all);
  • history of Ukraine;
  • mathematics;
  • biology;
  • geography;
  • chemistry;
  • physics;

The second subject is given a choice - mathematics or history (if mathematical science still not made mandatory). The right to choose a third subject is granted to the student from the above list. To increase the chances of entering a university, a future applicant can choose another competitive subject of their own free will. But in any case, the number of disciplines for which the EIT is taken should not exceed 4.

Registration

Before passing the EIT, the future applicant must register according to the following algorithm:

  1. On the website of the institute or university, study the introductory conditions and find out the disciplines for which students will be admitted.
  2. Select academic disciplines from the list of permitted (free and compulsory), but not more than four.
  3. Prepare a list of registration documents - a copy of the passport with pages of full name, two photographs of 3x4 format, register. card (you can get it at the university where you plan to enroll).
  4. Submit the completed set of documents to your educational institution.

Based on all the submitted documents, a general list of persons who will be allowed to take the EIT is compiled.

ZNO terms

The exact dates for the EIT in 2020 have not yet been set. But according to the experience of past years, you can focus on the dates for 2019, which looked like this:

  • start of acceptance of documents for registration - February 5;
  • end of registration - March 25 (one and a half months is given to students to apply and make adjustments to the data provided);
  • placement of documents-passes - until April 30;
  • the main stage of testing in subjects - from June 21 to 13;
  • publication of the results of ZNO - from 14 to 25 June;
  • additional session (for residents of the occupied territories and children of military personnel) - from 26.06 to 12.07.

Each exam must be taken on a specific day - the date is set by order of the Ministry of Education and announced shortly before testing.

How points are calculated

Additional and compulsory subjects after the examination of the ZNO are evaluated in points. For each of them, a threshold value is set. UPE participants who fail to overcome the “threshold” will not be able to submit the results of the certificate for this discipline to the selected university.

The total test score is defined as the total amount of points scored in a particular subject. It serves as the basis for calculating the rating score, which determines the participant's position among other testees.

At the moment, the scale of test scores for the disciplines of ZNO looks like this:

The highest rating score is given to the participant who scored the maximum number of points on a scale from 100 to 200. When compiling the rating, the number and percentage of participants who scored no more than the indicated points are taken into account.

Features of testing for each subject

Students who are due to take the EIT in 2020 can focus on the 2019 assignments. Every year, tasks change, additions appear, but the essence of assessment and the principle of compiling tests remain unchanged for many years.

Ukr. language. The knowledge of the participants is assessed on 58 tasks, which must be completed in three hours. The ZNO materials contain tests on knowledge of phonetics and spelling, the construction of words and sentences, basic and service units speeches, direct tasks and indirect speech, stylistics and speech development.

Literature. It is necessary to answer questions concerning oral folk art, ancient writing, literature on temporary eras - from the 18th century to the modern period. In addition to test questions, students will have to write an essay in the state language.

Story. The most voluminous assessment, the structure of which includes about 60 exercises. They include knowledge questions ancient history Ukraine from the beginning of the settlement of tribes, the history of the Kiev, Galicia-Volyn states, the Commonwealth, the National Liberation War of the 17th century, information about the latest period in the history of Ukraine, culture up to the events of 2014. The Ministry allotted 150 minutes to complete the test.

Mathematics. The ZNO in this subject includes 33 tests, which assess knowledge regarding geometry and planimetry, algebra and the principles of analysis, elements of combinatorics and statistics, as well as solid geometry. Students will have to make logical pairs, build graphs and even give detailed answers. The maximum time to complete all tasks is 180 minutes.

Physics. According to the examination program, it is proposed to solve 34 problems in three hours. Knowledge is assessed in such areas as mechanics, kinematics, dynamics, thermodynamics, Molecular physics, electrodynamics, waves and oscillations, optics and the theory of relativity. Answers are given in the form of tests or in free form, as well as in the form of choosing logical pairs.

Chemistry. In tests for natural science sections of the general, organic and inorganic chemistry with solving equations, calculating reactions using formulas.

Geography. ZNO includes 58 tasks - they will have to be completed from start to finish in two and a half hours. Participants of the ZNO must demonstrate knowledge of general geography (relief, lithosphere, topography, hydrosphere, biosphere), continents and oceans, Ukrainian geographical research, natural conditions and resources. The examination includes tasks built according to the type of tests or options with a detailed written answer.

Biology. The UPE ticket includes 50 tasks, the solution of which is given no more than 120 minutes. Knowledge is tested in such sections as the molecular and cellular level of life organization, the position of a person in the system organic world, variety of animals, plants, lichens and fungi.

Foreign languages. What awaits applicants planning to enroll in language universities in 2020 is still not known for certain. Fundamental changes are expected in this discipline of ZNO, which will be known closer to the date of delivery. Previously, the test assessed reading, writing and foreign language skills. Participants filled in the gaps of words and letters in the text, gave detailed answers and chose the correct answer to the question from those offered.

How to prepare for the ZNO

All tests included in the structure of the ZNO are compiled on the basis of the school curriculum in the relevant discipline, and should not include sections that are not included in the program. Nevertheless, testing causes a number of difficulties for schoolchildren, since tasks are often constructed in a non-standard way, requiring the use of not only factual knowledge, but also logical thinking.

Trial testing allows you to assess your level of knowledge and skills and psychologically prepare for the upcoming UIT. It is conducted remotely on the ZNO platform online and is available to any student or future applicant.

The principles of implementation and the content of tasks are as close as possible to reality. After completing all the tasks and processing the received data, the participant receives the results in the form of test and rating points, as well as the correct answers to all questions. Trial ZNO is a paid service - you can pass the assessment for a nominal fee, the amount of which does not exceed 150 hryvnia for one test.

If the results of the pilot test were unsatisfactory, this is not a reason to despair. As a rule, the training ZNO takes place at the beginning of spring, so the student has time to prepare for the main stage and improve knowledge on weak points.

Preparatory courses at higher educational institutions, private tutors and online trainings will come to the rescue. You can fill in the gaps yourself, but with self-preparation there is a risk of missing key points related to the completion of tasks.

The introduction of the practice of external independent assessment (or EIA) is one of the most fundamental reforms in the field of Ukrainian education. The exam is mandatory for every graduate of the 11th grade and takes the form of testing, according to the results of which the student is issued a certificate that opens the way for him to the university chosen for further education.

You can say as much as you like that exam tests are a controversial method of testing school knowledge, and the old system of entering universities was better and more realistic in assessing the theory and practice learned by schoolchildren. All the same, ZNO in 2018 is still a mandatory norm.

ZNO eliminates the need for students to take exams twice

The Ministry of Education of Ukraine is confident that this particular method of final examination will minimize the abuse of power by the school and university administration and will allow exams to be conducted as objectively as possible. In addition, the ZNO relieves schoolchildren of unnecessary stress, because before the same subject had to be taken several times: first - to get a certificate, and after a couple of weeks again - to enter a university.

Every year, parents and schoolchildren carefully monitor news related to ZNO, because specialists from the Center for Assessing the Quality of Knowledge do not sit idle, constantly introducing some kind of innovation. It is not surprising that the graduates of 2018 already today want to know what to prepare for in the next year and a half in order to enter a university without any problems.

Innovations in ZNO-2018

Starting from 2018, 11th grade graduates will face new innovations in the program and the process of conducting the EIT. The changes will be quite significant, so do not postpone the preparation process until later.

About certificate expiration dates

Recall that the ZNO-2016 certificate is valid for three years. Now the question of the validity period of certificates is again on the agenda. Specialists are developing a new methodology for conducting tests, and this may lead to a reduction in the period of validity of certification documents to 1 year. Thus, if an eleventh grader does not apply for admission to a university in 2018, he will have to re-take the exam in the new academic period.

Schoolchildren who did not enter next year will again take the ZNO

Changes in examinations in foreign languages

Since 2016, students have been frightened by the inclusion of a foreign language in the list of subjects required for passing the ZNO. This innovation caused serious concern among schoolchildren and their parents, who repeatedly wrote petitions asking them to stop this practice. As a result, the board of the Ministry of Education decided to investigate the feasibility of EIT in foreign languages by conducting trial testing for several regions of Ukraine.

In 2016, the approbation covered the capital and the Kyiv region, Odessa and Lviv schools. In total, about three thousand schoolchildren took part in it. The new tests included tasks divided into two levels of difficulty: B1 (it was passed by students who studied foreign languages at the level of the standard school curriculum) and B2 (such an exam was taken by graduates who studied in specialized classes). In addition, the ticket included tasks to test listening skills.

As a result, the Commission decided that this approach justified itself - two-level tests in foreign languages were called an appropriate and highly reliable tool for measuring knowledge. However, the results of testing are still difficult to call satisfactory. The commission decided that the tests themselves and the part devoted to listening should be improved, therefore, in 2017, students will have to re-test this ZNO, but from 2018, two-level testing can be expected.

Required subjects

Foreign language in 2018 will be the fourth mandatory exam of ZNO

To date, mathematics (which can be replaced by history or biology if required by the chosen specialty), as well as Ukrainian language and literature, remain in the list of compulsory disciplines. The third test is determined by graduates based on the requirements of the chosen university. Most likely, a foreign language will be added to the list of compulsory disciplines over time, and already in a new, two-level form. Therefore, you can safely prepare for passing 4 tests at once in 2018.

ZNO for children with disabilities

According to Oksana Filipishina, Commissioner for Children's Rights, Non-Discrimination and Gender Equality, from 2018, EIT for visually impaired children will be 30 minutes longer. In addition, they will be provided with additional auditorium lighting and tickets will be printed in Braille. The Ministry of Education promised that it will also take into account the needs of graduates who move in wheelchairs - rooms with ramps will be selected for them.

Minimum passing score in 2018

In the examination campaign of past years, ZNOs eventually passed everything, which was explained by the absence of a minimum score for passing the test. Since 2016, the situation has changed and, most likely, this practice will continue in 2017-2018. According to the new assessment system, the student must show at least minimal knowledge of the subject to the commission. If he passes the test, demonstrating only the fact that he has been sitting at his desk for 11 years, he does not receive a certificate.

Thus, universities are protected from applicants with a zero level of knowledge. For reference, let's cite the data of 2016: in the Ukrainian language and literature, the threshold score was set at 23 test scores, in mathematics - 9, in history - 25. Practice has shown that the percentage of students who cannot score even a minimum score is quite high. 9% of 11th graders failed to pass native language, 15 - demonstrated unsatisfactory knowledge of mathematics, and 13% did not pass the history of Ukraine.

Trial ZNO will cost schoolchildren 120-150 UAH. per subject

How much will a trial test cost?

The cost of testing for 2018 has not yet been determined, but it is already known that in 2017 the amount will be 120 hryvnia per subject. Most likely, it will be possible to focus on it in the next academic year - the difference is unlikely to be more than 20-30 hryvnia. Recall that only persons who have submitted the relevant application can pass the trial test. Registration of participants takes place from 10.01 to 31.01 of the corresponding school year. Trial ZNO dates are set approximately a month and a half before the main one.

So, in 2017, a trial test in the Ukrainian language can be passed on 04/01/2017, biology, physics, mathematics, chemistry, geography, history and a foreign language can be passed on 04/08/2017. As practice shows, the tasks of trial tests differ very little from the main ones, so it is worth taking such a test to identify the level of your preparation and correct possible gaps and shortcomings in knowledge.

Features of ZNO-2018 in various subjects

To make it easier for you to prepare for the future test, let's go through the main characteristics of different items. The information is presented as of 2017; while there are no prerequisites for the fact that the structural part of the tickets will be changed. An important innovation: students will be exempted from taking school exams, as part of the ZNO tests will form an assessment for the certificate. You can read more about which tasks will be taken into account by the commission below.

To pass the trial test, you need to register in January!

ZNO in Ukrainian language and literature

The ticket for this subject includes 58 tasks that the student must solve in 180 minutes. The work includes three parts:

  • the first, which tests knowledge of the language, includes 33 tests;
  • the second, which tests knowledge in literature, consists of 24 tests;
  • the third, which involves the student expressing his own thoughts, consists of one task on a specific topic.

From 2017, the tasks of parts 1 and 3 will also be credited as the result of the state final certification and will be included in your document on obtaining an average school education. The tasks of the exam ticket can be presented in the form of a test with one answer option (maximum score - 1 point), assignments for establishing correspondence (up to 4 points per task) and in the form of a mini essay (up to 20 points). The set maximum for all types of tasks is 104 test scores.

ZNO in mathematics

The math ticket includes 33 tasks that a graduate will have to complete in 180 minutes. The ticket provides four forms of tasks:

  • the simplest, the choice of one correct answer out of five (from 1 to 20). They are valued at 1 point;
  • to establish the correspondence of logical pairs (from 21 to 24). Evaluation provides for setting from 1 to 4 points;
  • tasks of an open form that provide a solution (from 25 to 30). The maximum you can get here is 2 points;
  • tasks of an open form with a detailed answer, accompanied by the construction of graphs or illustration by drawings (from 31 to 33). Of these: #31-32 can bring you up to 4 points, and #33 - up to 6 points for a correct answer.

In addition, as in the case of the Ukrainian language and literature exam, this test is included in the certificate as a final assessment of school knowledge in mathematics. The commission will set points based on the results of checking tasks numbered from 1 to 28, and will also take into account numbers 31-32. Please note that the commission does not check your calculations in drafts! The maximum points that can be obtained at the ZNO in mathematics is 62 points.

The results of ZNO in mathematics will go to the school certificate

ZNO in history

A voluminous ticket consisting of 60 tasks that you need to complete in just 150 minutes. The work includes two parts:

  • the first of them will test the student's knowledge in the section "History of Ukraine in the 20th - early 21st century." It consists of 30 tasks and will be credited as a result of the final state certification of a 11th grade graduate;
  • the second part concerns sections of the school curriculum that tell about the history of Ukraine from ancient times to the end of the 19th century. There will also be 30 tasks.

Formally, tasks can be presented in the form of tests:

  • with one answer (from 1 to 23 and from 31 to 53, you can get 1 point for the correct answer);
  • in the form of logical pairs (tasks from 24 to 26 and from 54 to 56, each evaluated up to 4 points);
  • tasks for establishing the sequence of events or factors (No. 27-28 and 57-58, which can bring up to 3 points for an answer);
  • to choose three answers out of seven offered in the test (No. 29-30 and 59-60, estimated up to 3 points).

Please note that the answers to the first part of the ticket will be the basis for putting a mark in the form of a final state certification. A maximum of 94 points can be scored for the entire ticket.

ZNO in physics

The examination involves solving 34 problems, for which 180 minutes are allotted. The ticket consists of tasks presented in three forms:

  • with the choice of one correct answer (No. 1-20), which can bring up to 1 point;
  • establishing a logical correspondence (No. 21-24), for the correct answer you can earn up to 4 points here;
  • no choice of answer. These tasks assume that the student himself will formulate answers in a short form (No. 25-34), for which he will receive up to 2 points.

Physics testing is the basis for putting a mark in the certificate of secondary education. The maximum you can get for this ticket is 56 points.

There are 180 minutes of exam time for 34 tasks in physics!

ZNO in biology

There will be 50 tasks in this ticket, which you need to solve in two hours. The ticket consists of tasks presented in three forms:

  • with the choice of one correct answer (No. 1-40), which can bring up to 1 point;
  • establishing a logical correspondence (No. 41-46), for the correct answer you can earn up to 4 points here;
  • with a choice of three correct answers from three groups of proposed options (No. 47-50), for which you can get up to 3 points.

Biology testing is the basis for putting a mark in the certificate of secondary education. The maximum you can get for this ticket is 76 points.

ZNO in geography

ZNO in geography consists of 58 tests, the solution of which is 150 minutes. Tasks are divided into 4 main forms:

  • with one answer option (#1-42), each of which can bring 1 point;
  • in the form of logical pairs (No. 43-48), giving up to 4 points each;
  • open tasks for which you need to provide a short answer (No. 49-52), estimated at 2 points;
  • to choose three answers out of seven offered in the test (No. 53-58), for which you can get 3 points.

Please note that the answers to the ticket will be the basis for putting a mark in the form of a final state certification. A maximum of 92 points can be scored for the entire ticket.

English, French, German and Spanish

In 2017, language tests consist of 43 tasks that must be completed in 2 hours. Structurally, the work is divided into three parts:

  • testing reading skills. There will be offered 22 tasks;
  • evaluating the skill of using a foreign language. This part contains 20 tasks;
  • testing writing skills. This part contains one open form task.

The foreign language exam also includes listening.

Some tasks from the reading part and from the parts of the use of language and writing serve as the basis for putting a mark in the framework of the state certification of schoolchildren. The task form provides:

  • the choice of one correct answer in tasks No. 1-16, 23-32 and 33-42 (1 point for each);
  • filling in the gaps in the text in No. 17-22 (1 point);
  • detailed answer in №43 (up to 14 points).

However, the structural component of the 2018 ticket is likely to be changed in line with the two-tier approach. What exactly will change (as well as how the points for writing and listening will be distributed) is not yet known. Now you can get 56 points for a ticket.

ZNO in Russian

The exam, which consists of 51 tasks, for the solution of which the Ministry of Education decided to take 150 minutes. The ticket has two categories:

  • the first includes 50 tasks. Some of them (No. 1-36 and 43-50) involve the choice of one answer, estimated at 1 point, others (No. 37-42) consist in choosing logical pairs that can bring up to 4 points.
  • the second consists of one task of an open form (No. 51), estimated at 20 points.

Please note that the answers to the ticket will be the basis for putting a mark in the form of a final state certification. The total score of the certificate reaches a maximum of 88 points.

Submission of documents and admission to the university based on the results of the ZNO

A student passes a test in the form of ZNO not for his own pleasure, but for admission to a university. Let's talk in more detail about the percentage of ZNO points in 2018 during the competition for budget places, we will find out whether students can enter the university without a certificate, and whether there are benefits in ZNO points for certain categories of people.

When applying to a university, you can submit a maximum of 9 applications

Directions for applying to the university

Already in 2017, the number of potential specialties and the number of possible applications is decreasing. Now it will be possible to submit only 9 applications, choosing 4 specialties for yourself (back in 2016, you could write 6 more applications, choosing 5 specialties for training). In addition, they promise to cancel admission for the levels of "specialist" and "junior bachelor". The junior specialist category will be retained for the time being, but new (not yet developed) admission rules will apply for it.

Changes in the admission rules for beneficiaries

Applicants with disabilities belonging to the category of orphans, military children who participated in hostilities and migrants will be admitted subject to the quotas introduced by the Ministry of Education. The right to enter without a competitive basis from 2017 for these categories of persons is cancelled. There will be several quotas:

  • the first of them, equal to 10% of the number of places under the state order (but not less than 1 person), is reserved for orphans, schoolchildren who cannot pass the EIT for medical reasons, as well as participants in hostilities;
  • the second quota is intended for Crimean migrants who arrived in Ukraine after 01/01/2017. The quota is equal to 20% of the state order, but will not be valid in every university, but in special (authorized) institutes and universities, at which the Crimea-Ukraine educational centers have been created. Today there are 12 such centers;
  • the third quota is very limited in effect - it is provided only for educational institutions communal type. That is, for universities funded with the help of the regional budget;
  • quotas four and five are for foreigners and operate within international obligations. Recall that foreign applicants enter without certificates, passing only an interview at the selected university.

Will there be additional points for courses?

In 2018, courses may not earn you the extra credits you expect!

According to the Head of the Department higher education, the practice of adding points for preparatory courses will not be universal. Universities that have unpopular specialties will receive such a right. If the contract is filled normally, there can be no question of any additional points, so from 2017 this rule will affect the “computers”. But future ecologists and specialists in agriculture can go to courses and insure themselves upon admission.

Determination of coefficients of competitive points

Implemented since 2016 new system formation of points for applicants to universities. The specialists of the Ministry of Education give only a recommendation regarding the percentage for determining the rating of the ZNO certificate, attestation score and other documents. So far, the following recommendations are valid:

  • the minimum value of the rating of ZNO certificates must be at least 20%;
  • the minimum attestation rating must be at least 10%;
  • Universities that accept applicants, taking into account creative competitions, must allocate at least 50% of the rating for this type of entrance examination.

The rest of the points can be attributed to the diploma of the winner of the MAS, the Olympiad or the certificate of completion of preparatory courses (the latter, as mentioned earlier, is not valid for all specialties).

One Wave of University Enrollment

Back in 2015, applicants had a chance to advance in the lists if the top applicants for the budget submit original documents to another university. Since 2016, this practice has been canceled and there are no plans to bring it back to life. In 2018, eleventh graders should count on only one wave of admission. Even if there are vacancies under the state order, the Ministry will simply save on scholarships and university funding, since the place will be withdrawn from the competition.

When entering a university, focus on just one wave of enrollment

ZNO for future undergraduates

Since 2018, not only yesterday's schoolchildren can face ZNO. Bachelors who wish to continue their education in the magistracy are gradually being led to the fact that they will not take intra-university exams, but exactly the same ZNO as school graduates. ZNO for a bachelor's degree will cover two areas - a specialty and a foreign language.

For each ZNO graduate - a test of knowledge and the ability to correctly combine and group all the necessary information in their head for the entire period of study. This is a crucial stage in the life of everyone who graduates from school.

Like last year, in 2019, the final exams will be held in the form of EIT (external independent assessment), so it is mandatory, regardless of whether there is a desire to continue studying at the university or not.

The entire ZNO program in 2019 will comply with Order No. 77 of the Ministry of Education of Ukraine, approved in 2016.

In 2019, the ZNO will be held in 11 subjects, only 4 can be passed: two main ones, and two to choose from.

Schedule of items

All schedules are based on calendar plan approved by the Ministry of Education of Ukraine. The beginning of testing falls on May 21 - mathematics. The last exam will take place on June 13 - chemistry.

  1. Mathematics-May 21 (Tuesday).
  2. Ukrainian language and literature - May 23 (Thursday).
  3. Spanish - May 27 (Monday).
  4. German language-May 27 (Monday).
  5. French - May 27 (Monday).
  6. English-May 28 (Tuesday).
  7. Physics-30 May (Thursday).
  8. History of Ukraine-June 4 (Tuesday).
  9. Biology-June 6 (Thursday).
  10. Geography-June 11 (Tuesday).
  11. Chemistry-June 13 (Thursday).

All the dates of the ZNO are exactly the same as in the previous year, nothing has changed in this paragraph. They are designed in a special way, making it possible to repeat the material and tune in before passing the next exam.

External independent testing always began with the delivery of the most basic subject - the Ukrainian language and literature. Without a set of required points, admission to the further delivery of subjects will be closed. Compulsory subjects in ZNO in 2019 remain the same.

After successfully passing the first subject, the second stage of passing is mathematics or the history of Ukraine. These are also necessary items. The student himself can choose one necessary subject and pass it.

Do not forget that the necessary subjects will also be counted as the results of the state final certification. There will be an opportunity to pass the EIT 2019 in Ukraine for those who, for good reasons, could not get into it. To confirm the urgent circumstances due to which the student was unable to attend the exam, you will need to provide the appropriate document.

ZNO rating in 2019

The passing score is the minimum that everyone who passes the UPE must score in order to receive a certificate of completion of secondary education. Previously, it was impossible not to pass the ZNO, for this a minimum of effort was required. Now the Ministry of Education of Ukraine has decided to complicate the task of passing exams, and now in order to receive a certificate of successful completion of school, you need to score a certain number of points:

  • Ukrainian language and literature - 24 test points out of 104;
  • history of Ukraine - 27 test points out of 94;
  • mathematics - 11 test points out of 62;
  • biology - 23 test points out of 76;
  • geography - 27 test points out of 92;
  • chemistry and physics - at least 17 test points out of 80;
  • English, French, Spanish, German languages– 14 points out of 56 possible.

In order to be admitted to further exams, the most important thing is to pass the threshold score in Ukrainian language and literature. To enter the chosen university, it is necessary to positively pass the profile subjects, as required by the chosen specialty. The higher the ZNO score, the higher the rating will be as a result, and the more likely it is to enter the budget.

The pass/fail threshold score must be announced no later than June 25, after all exams and scores have been calculated.

If a student has lofty plans for admission to prestigious universities Ukraine, or even abroad, then the UPE must be passed as best as possible, receiving the highest possible scores. If you want to enter the budget, then you need to rely on a specific university and its specialty. Each university and each faculty puts forward its points for admission to a free form of education.

For example, Zaporozhye National University, specialty - legal, required a total score of 182. Only in this case there was a chance to get on the budget, including the presence of only 11 budget places.

Every year budget places will decrease, and the number of people per place will grow. This will complicate admission, giving the opportunity to the strongest of all to take places of free education.

You need to remember about quotas and the average score of the certificate. The latter must be taken into account when submitting documents. Based on the figure available in school certificate, the commission will be GPA entering a specific faculty, which will include the average score of the certificate.

Documentation

In order for a student to be enrolled in a university, he needs to submit documents to the relevant universities within a certain time frame. To do this, you must contact the commission with:

  • Passport.
  • ZNO certificate.
  • A copy of the birth certificate.
  • A copy of the certificate.

And next to others required documents. When submitting documents, if the future student entered the budget, this must be said to the person responsible for viewing and processing all papers. Then the admission process itself can become a little more complicated with additional documents.

Innovations

Innovations in ZNO in 2019 in Ukraine mean elevated level difficulties for dealers. English will be joined, previously absent, by listening. Now the understanding of the language will be carried out by ear. The level of difficulty of the most important subject, the Ukrainian language and literature, will also increase. Another news will be the possible complication of not only specialized subjects, but of all in general. If earlier the student had to pass profile subjects well, now all exams will be given such requirements. The ZNO 2019 test provides for the maximum preparation of the examiner.

Useful tips are simply necessary in order to pass the UPE at the highest level.

  • Plan. It must be completed as early as possible. It will help distribute the load of repetition of the material and preparation, getting rid of the mess in the head.
  • One item, one day. No need to try to repeat several topics in different subjects in one day. This will give absolutely nothing but confusion.
  • Very often, applicants are helped by small stickers pasted around the house with important and necessary information. For example, you can write all important dates in history, or the necessary formulas in mathematics on pieces of paper and place them where they will be clearly visible and often found. According to statistics, this trains visual memory and associations a lot.
  • Tutor. Although it is expensive, it often gives a positive result. Regular sessions with a specialist will help to better assimilate and distribute information.
  • Rest. It is required before the exam. No need to exhaust yourself with constant mental stress, the brain needs a break in order to assimilate and process the information received.
  • A trial ZNO is a great chance to understand what it is like. And they are worth using. Not so much for the sake of the environment, but for the sake of viewing assignments, grading systems and writing exams.
  • Strengths. Need to turn to it Special attention. It is clear that it is impossible to know absolutely everything, so it is advisable to focus on the most strengths, and write a good exam, thanks to them.
  • University courses. If possible, to look like the courses of a future educational institution is a good opportunity to understand what kind of university it is, how it is located, what teachers are in it, and whether it is comfortable in it.

This crucial moment must be thought out with all seriousness, down to the smallest detail. In the coming years, it is planned to make education more valuable and serious. Not everyone will be able to cope with the growing load, because an enhanced program for passing the ZNO has already begun, and in order to graduate from school, receive the necessary certificate, and enter a university, you must not only pass the threshold score and get a minimum, you need to cope with the tasks as best as possible and pass the ZNO.

The introduction of a nationwide examination in the format of ZNO into the educational system of Ukraine was not very good news for graduates. However, sooner or later you can get used to any changes, so today graduates already perceive this state of affairs as a given. Moreover, they try to pass the exam tests as well as possible.

For 11th-graders, knowledge assessment is not just a procedure necessary for obtaining school leaving documents, but also a key that opens the door to the future of a highly qualified specialist. Certificates with points for ZNO are a mandatory document when applying to the country's universities, and a significant amount of earned "points" is a guarantee that the applicant will become a student of the budget order and will receive a scholarship.

Naturally, for this you need to work hard and devote the last school year to preparing for the exam. The success of passing the ZNO is directly dependent on how much time you devote to self-preparation, attending repeaters and preparatory courses. In addition, it is worth preparing for the tests psychologically, and for this you need to be well versed in the ZNO regulations and be aware of possible changes in the ticket structure in advance!

What can change in ZNO 2019?

Even the smallest changes in the EIT procedure can be an unpleasant surprise if you find out about them too late. What can we say about the cardinal changes initiated by the main examination department of Ukraine! Of course, we will draw conclusions about specific innovations at the beginning of the new academic year, when the commissions will approve all the regulations and instructions, after which they will publish them on the ZNO official website. However, thanks to the speeches of officials and their statements in the media, it is already possible today to predict the introduction of a number of innovations into the educational life of Ukraine.

1. Reducing the time for admission

This innovation is still under discussion. The fact is that earlier certificates could be used for three years - for example, if you passed the ZNO in 2016, you could count on the received score in 2016, 2017 and 2018. Later certificates in English, Spanish, German and French were made one year old. Since 2018, they have been operating in a reduced mode, since in this educational period the procedure for certification of foreign languages has been radically changed.

To date, specialists from the main body for quality control of knowledge are actively discussing this issue. Some advocate that from 2019 all certificates become annual. Others say that after the final approval of the structure and content of tickets for the examination session, it will be possible to make all certificates reusable again, so that those who, for example, missed a year due to illness or decided to serve in the army after exams, have the opportunity to enter without re-examinations.

2. Adaptation of ZNO for children with visual impairments

Representatives of the Knowledge Quality Center say that by 2019, all-Ukrainian exams will finally be adapted for children who are visually impaired. For them, materials will be printed using Braille. So far, only notebooks with enlarged type are used to test such students, but they are not very convenient for children who studied subjects from textbooks and manuals for the blind and visually impaired.

In addition, children with disabilities will be allowed to write tests for longer (up to three hours), and for children with disabilities, they promise to increase the comfort of the exam rooms.

From 2019 tickets for the visually impaired will be published in Braille

3. Two-level exam in a foreign language

Starting from 2018, students will have to take French, English, Spanish and German based on a new examination approach - now the ticket will include tasks of two levels of difficulty (B1 and B2 according to the common European classification). However, in the educational department they are called differently - tasks of the academic and specialized levels.

Innovations in the field of foreign languages have been brewing for a long time - back in 2017, graduates of several schools in Kyiv, Odesa and Lviv regions were offered to take a trial test, on the basis of which the Knowledge Assessment Center drew conclusions about the advisability of spreading this practice throughout Ukraine. Another innovation in this ZNO is the inclusion of a part with listening in the ticket (that is, checking how successfully graduates have mastered the skill of understanding foreign speech by ear).

Also, information is slipping in the media that as early as 2019, the EIT in foreign languages may become one of the mandatory for all graduates. Now it is taken only by those who studied in a specialized class (in this case, the mark goes to the state certification column in graduation school documents), as well as schoolchildren who need a certificate with scores in foreign languages in order to enter a university for a chosen specialty.

4. Cancellation of ZNO in the Russian language

Students need to remember that recently this subject has been excluded from the list of variable EITs - now it is impossible to take an exam in it. If you wanted to pass this particular subject, urgently change plans.

5. Minimum passing score

Recall that a couple of years ago it was simply impossible not to pass the ZNO - certificates were issued to absolutely everyone who came to this type of final certification. The new approach assumes that the student must score at least a certain minimum score in order to receive a mark at the “satisfactory” level. To date minimum scores by disciplines ZNO look like this:

  • Ukrainian language and literature - 24 test points out of 104;
  • history of Ukraine - 27 test points out of 94;
  • mathematics - 11 test points out of 62;
  • biology - 23 test points out of 76;
  • geography - 27 test points out of 92;
  • chemistry and physics - at least 17 test points out of 80;
  • English, French, Spanish, German - 14 points out of 56 possible.

6. Ability to test knowledge on a trial test

The cost of writing trial tests of ZNO is getting higher every year

Each year, the cost of participation in trial tests increases slightly. For example, if in 2017 it was possible to take a trial EIT by paying a fee of UAH 120, then in 2018 it amounted to UAH 129-137. The price of the demo-ZNO depends on the region where the graduates live. For example, eleventh-graders from educational institutions such regions as Zhytomyr, Sumy, Poltava, Khmelnytsky, Kharkiv and Vinnitsa, and the increased cost is approved for the Odessa, Dnipro and Kyiv regions of the country.

It is not yet possible to say how the amount of the trial test fee will change in 2019. Based on the practice of past years, this increase can be expressed in 10-20 hryvnia. Registration for demo tests usually starts on January 10 and ends on the last day of January, and the trial EITs themselves take place one and a half months before the date on which the main exam is scheduled.

Items ZNO-2019

It will be possible to talk about innovations in tickets only after the next session of ZNO. After studying the work of 2017/2018 graduates, the commission will be able to draw conclusions about the need for additional edits and changes. While it can be said that last years have become a period of relative "calm" - tickets for subjects, for the most part, are already worked out, so revolutionary changes in their structure occur quite rarely. For a general understanding of the situation, we will briefly analyze the tickets of the last sample.

ZNO in Ukrainian language and literature

Examination work, as before, includes 58 tasks, for the solution of which 180 minutes are allotted. All tasks are divided into three parts:

  • part 1 - tasks that test knowledge and skills in the Ukrainian language (there are 33 of them);
  • part 2 - tasks from this section will check how well the student knows Ukrainian literature (there are 24 of them);
  • part 3 - in this section, the graduate will write an essay.

Part of the tasks (namely - No. 1-No. 23, No. 29-No. 33 and No. 58) is especially important, since the points for it are translated into marks for the final school certificate.

ZNO in mathematics

The exam lasts 180 minutes, during which you will have to puzzle over 33 tasks. They can be quite simple - in the form of small test problems with answer options, tasks to establish a correspondence between two sets of elements, or write down a short answer. The last three tasks are the most difficult. They need to be described in as much detail as possible, arguing the course of the decision, drawing a graph or building geometric figure. Please note that tasks No. 1-No. 28 and No. 31-No. 32 are especially important - the amount of points for them is translated and recorded as a mark in the school certificate.

Test scores will affect grades in the school certificate

ZNO in history

One of the most voluminous tickets among all subject ZNO - it contains as many as 60 tasks! Tests are proportionally divided into two parts (30 pieces each), one of which is devoted to the history of Ukraine from the beginning of the 20th century to the present day, and the second - historical events from ancient times to the end of the 19th century. At the same time, it should be noted that not so much time is allotted for the story - only 150 minutes. Tasks No. 1-No. 23, No. 24-No. 26 and No. 27-No. 30 have a separate value - based on the points received for these questions, students will be given final marks in their certificates.

ZNO in physics

This ticket contains a total of 34 tests and tasks for which 180 minutes are allocated. This exam has three types of questions:

  • tests with a single correct answer;
  • work with logical pairs;
  • tasks that will need to be briefly painted in order to give the correct answer.

The test results are not only the basis for issuing certificates for admission, but are also translated into a 12-point scale for the certification mark.

ZNO in biology

The biological test includes 50 tasks, and you need to solve them in 120 minutes. However, the tasks in this ZNO are not too difficult - some of them are simple tests with a single correct answer, others are to create links between two columns of elements, and the last part involves the choice of three answers from the provided options. The entire test is taken into account both in certification points and when setting a mark for a school certificate.

ZNO in geography

Students who choose this subject for themselves will have to cope with 58 tests in 150 minutes. All tasks are presented in the form of tests with one or three answers from the proposed list, or tasks with logical pairs and a short answer. All scores are translated into two scales - on one, the ZNO score is set, and on the other - a mark of 12 point system for a certificate.

ZNO in foreign languages

In 2019, Ukrainian schoolchildren will have to not only read and write in a foreign language, but also perceive it by ear in terms of listening

This exam has been modified many times, so you should carefully study its structure and content. The EIT of the new sample consists of four parts, each of which will test certain language skills and abilities. Main elements examination work are:

  • listening- a recent innovation from the Center for Measuring the Quality of Knowledge, which will cause a lot of difficulties for eleventh graders. Alas, few schools teach to perceive foreign speech by ear. It will be enough for students in ordinary schools to show whether they can select the necessary information from the entire audio fragment - for example, by evaluating the correctness of the statements. But representatives of linguistic classes will have to show much more skills - by ear it is necessary to perceive not just the meaning of the text, but also individual facts in the form of names, names of rivers, lakes, cities, dates, instructions, etc. At the same time, the developers of the tests included in them a very diverse topic - from family, hobbies, professions and recreation to travel, holidays, tourism, and even the role of Ukraine in the world community;
  • Reading– 11th graders who studied a foreign language as part of the school curriculum will need to show how well they can search for information and understand the meaning of the fragments they read. Linguistic classes will demonstrate how successfully they were taught to understand the context and the general idea of the text. Here, students will be asked to work with newspaper articles, personal correspondence, recipes, and even instructions that are usually printed on product packaging;
  • Foreign language skills- in this part of the ticket, graduates will work with texts (up to 450 words for ordinary schoolchildren, up to 550 for specialized classes), demonstrating analytical analysis skills;
  • Letter- just one, but a very difficult task, in which you will need to fill out a questionnaire, write a letter or an invitation (for ordinary schoolchildren), and for linguist graduates this task is complicated by the requirement to write at length, backing up your words with facts and arguments.

Please note that in the new ZNO there are much more tasks than in the old versions - 59 instead of 43. The attestation mark takes into account points for tasks No. 1–No. 32 and No. 49–No. 59.

Submission of certificates to universities

As already mentioned, ZNO certificates are needed for admission to an institute or university. Be careful - in 2018, the number of applications that can be submitted to a university will once again be reduced! If in 2017 the number 9 appeared in the admission rules, then in 2018 the Ministry of Education allows applicants to submit only 7 applications, choosing 4 specialties.

The points received for the ZNO will determine your position in the lists of applicants

It is possible that in 2019 there will be another wave of cuts. The ability to write many applications leads to the disappearance of budget places - now they are distributed to each of the applicants who have top positions in the overall ranking. When an applicant brings the originals to one of the specified universities, the rest of the places that he occupied remain unfilled, since now the lists of applicants do not rise up.

However, this news concerns only those who apply for the budget - contractors can write even more applications. Separately, we remind parents and students that all documents are now accepted by universities only in electronic format - personal presence in admission committee is not required of you.

ZNO for applicants to the magistracy

Over the past few years, ZNO has been a test not only for eleventh graders, but also for bachelors. Now, before entering the magistracy, it will be necessary to pass not just qualifying exams in front of a commission representing the graduating department, but to pass an all-Ukrainian test. Since 2017, the approbation of this ZNO has affected bachelors entering the master's program in the specialty "Law", from 2018 the new norm will also apply to those who are going to become a master's student in "International Law".

In the same year, they decided to conduct an experimental ZNO in foreign languages. English, French, Spanish or German can be taken by those who are going to continue their studies in master's programs specialties represented in such branches of knowledge as " Humanitarian sciences"(except for philologists)," Behavioral and Social sciencies”, “Journalism”, “Law”, “ International relationships” and “Service sector”.

Soon ZNO will have to be taken not only by senior students, but also by bachelors

So far, individual universities will take part in the experiment, but from 2019 they promise to make the EIT in foreign languages mandatory for future masters! The exception, most likely, will be valid only for those who have international certification documents, and at the level corresponding to category B2.

ZNO for college and vocational school graduates

Another change has affected children graduating from college or vocational school. Since 2018, they will have to take the ZNO in the Ukrainian language. In 2019, they will most likely add one more subject, and in 2020 they will oblige graduates of these educational institutions to pass knowledge assessment in the form of ZNO in three academic disciplines. So far, the Knowledge Assessment Center is deciding in what order to introduce new subjects. It is only known that in the end the set will look like this: Ukrainian language, mathematics and history.

This news was not the most pleasant surprise for those who specifically left school after the 9th grade in order to avoid the need to take external testing. After graduating from college, graduates could apply for 2-3 courses of universities, and as an entrance test, take an internal university exam. It is possible that over time, ZNO for colleges and vocational schools will not only be the basis for obtaining a certificate, but will also be used for admission to universities, replacing a comprehensive professional exam.
