The Tyumen State Medical Institute trains general practitioners and highly qualified pharmacists - pharmacists. For 10 years of existence of the institute there were 4 graduations of doctors and pharmacists.

Classes are taught by 279 teachers, including 14 doctors and 124 candidates of sciences. The institute has 44 departments.

The institute has a postgraduate course, a rich scientific library, a sports and recreation camp, and a boarding school for the indigenous peoples of the North.

Clinics of the institute are located on the basis of medical institutions of the city. This is where students do their internships. Student scientific society of the university - more than 900 students.

At the initiative of the institute, nine all-Union, republican, zonal scientific conferences in which scientists from many cities of the country took part.

The institute has developed amateur art activities and sports and recreational work.

In 1995, the institute was renamed into the Tyumen State Medical Academy (TyumGMA). 1. In the Tyumen Medical Academy, medical, pediatric, pharmaceutical, dental faculties for budgetary and extra-planned places (full-time education) are accepted with secondary (full) or secondary vocational education, higher professional education , citizens of the Russian Federation, foreign citizens and stateless persons residing on its territory, as well as compatriots from neighboring countries arriving in the Russian Federation to study at universities. Persons with a secondary pharmaceutical or secondary medical education are admitted to extra-planned places of the Faculty of Pharmacy (correspondence form of education).

At the medical faculty, training is conducted in the specialty of general medicine (qualification - doctor), in pediatrics in the specialty of pediatrics (qualification - doctor), in the dental department in the specialty of dentistry (qualification as a dentist). The Faculty of Pharmacy provides training in the specialty of pharmacy (qualification - pharmacist).

Reception foreign citizens is carried out in accordance with international treaties of the Russian Federation and intergovernmental agreements of the Russian Federation at the expense of the relevant budget, as well as under agreements with the payment of tuition fees by individuals and (or) legal entities (Procedure for the admission of foreign citizens to state-accredited educational institutions of higher professional education for 2009 / 2010 academic year, order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia No. 179 of May 26, 2009).

2. To the application addressed to the Rector of the Tyumen Medical Academy, the applicant submits, at his own discretion, the original or a photocopy of documents proving his identity, citizenship, an original or a photocopy of a state document on education, 6 photos 3x4 cm, an original or a photocopy of the certificate of the results of the Unified State Examination, as well as other documents (originals or photocopies), if the applicant is applying for benefits established by the legislation of the Russian Federation or the rules for admission to the university. 3. A first-year applicant has the right to submit an application and participate in competitions at the same time in no more than five universities, in three areas of training (no more than 3 faculties). At the same time, the applicant has the right to apply simultaneously for budget places and for places under contracts with payment of tuition fees.

4. In order to assist state bodies and executive authorities of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation in training personnel to solve the socio-economic problems of the regions, the Tyumen Medical Academy, in agreement with the Ministry of Health and Social Development of the Russian Federation, conducts a targeted reception for the Yamalo-Nenets, Khanty-Mansiysk autonomous regions, Tyumen and Kurgan regions.

The procedure for sending applicants to target places is determined by the Departments of Health and Education of the regions and autonomous districts, regulated normative documents Ministry of Health and Social Development of the Russian Federation, Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, bilateral agreements. 5. Acceptance of documents from applicants is carried out by the selection committee of the Academy from June 20 to July 25. Applicants who do not have USE results must register for passing the exam. For persons entering the university based on the results of entrance examinations conducted by the university independently, the acceptance of documents ends on July 10. Applications for admission to the first course, as well as the necessary documents, can be sent by applicants through postal operators no later than July 25. When sending documents by mail, the applicant shall attach to the application for admission photocopies of documents proving his identity and citizenship, photocopies of state documents on education, certificates of the results of the Unified State Examination, as well as other documents provided for by these Rules. 6. In accordance with paragraph 10 of Article 41 of the Federal Law "On Education" No. 12-F3 of 01/13/1996, paragraph 2 of Article 29 of the Federal Law "On Higher and Postgraduate Professional Education" No. 125-F3 of 08/22/1996 and clause 4.9 of the Charter of the Tyumen State Medical Academy (registration No. 3292 dated May 10, 2005), the academy conducts additional (in excess of the state plan) admission of students to extrabudgetary places (with competitive selection on a general basis) with reimbursement of tuition costs under contracts with legal entities or individuals.

7. Applicants entering the medical, pediatric, pharmaceutical and dental faculties for places financed from the federal budget and above-planned places can provide the selection committee with USE certificates in chemistry, Russian language and biology. Test results in the form and according to USE materials 2010 and 2011 are counted as entrance exams. Citizens dismissed from military service, test results in the form and materials of the Unified State Examination in 2009 are counted as entrance exams.

On the basis of the Tyumen State Medical Academy, an examination reception point (ETS) was organized in three disciplines - the Russian language, chemistry, and biology.

8. The results of all entrance examinations, including entrance examinations conducted by the university independently, are evaluated on a 100-point scale. USE results, confirming the successful completion of entrance examinations in the Russian language, chemistry and biology must comply with the established Federal Service on supervision in the field of education and science, the minimum number of points confirming the development of the general education program of the secondary (full) general education in accordance with the requirements of the federal state educational standard secondary (complete) general education in the current year. The university has the right to establish for each area of ​​training a minimum number of points based on the results of the Unified State Examination, entrance examinations conducted by the university independently, confirming the successful completion of entrance examinations in general education subjects, exceeding the established by the Federal Service for Supervision in Education and science - the minimum number of points, confirming the development of the general education program of secondary (complete) general education.

9 . Control of the reliability of information about the participation of the Unified State Examination in May-June 2011, provided by applicants to the Tyumen State Medical Academy, is carried out by the selection committee together with the SEC Tyumen region. The Admissions Committee of the Tyumen State Medical Academy has the right to independently apply to the Federal database of certificates of the results of the Unified State Examination for confirmation of the accuracy of the information provided by applicants about the participation of the Unified State Examination in May-June 2010-2011.

In the event that, during an inspection conducted in the course of supervision by Rosobrnadzor, the facts of a competition and the unlawful enrollment of an applicant on the basis of unreliable information about the results of the exam presented by him, the student is subject to expulsion in the prescribed manner.

Entrance tests in the form and materials of the Unified State Examination are conducted by the SEC of the Tyumen Region with the participation of the admission committee of the Tyumen State Medical Academy within the time limits established by the Federal Service for Supervision in Education and Science.

During the entrance test, the examinees must observe the following rules of conduct:

10. The Appeals Commission of Tyumen State Medical Academy is not entitled to accept appeals on the procedure and results of entrance examinations in the form and materials of the Unified State Examination. Appeals based on the results of exams are submitted by applicants in person the next day after the announcement of the assessment. The Admissions Committee ensures the acceptance of appeals throughout the working day. To consider the appeals of applicants, in each case, an appeals committee is created, approved by order of the rector. The course and results of the appeal are recorded. For each appeal, the applicant is given a reasoned answer. The results of the consideration of the appeal are approved at a meeting of the selection committee. The applicant has the right to be present during the consideration of the appeal. At the same time, he must have a document proving his identity. With a minor applicant (under 18 years old), one of the parents or legal representatives has the right to be present. The decision of the appeal commission drawn up by the protocol is brought to the attention of the applicant against signature.

11 .Without entrance examinations to the university are accepted:

winners and prize-winners of the final stage All-Russian Olympiad schoolchildren, members of the national teams of the Russian Federation participating in international chemistry olympiads (medical, pediatric, pharmaceutical, dental faculties).

12. Out of competition, subject to successful completion of entrance examinations to higher educational institutions, the following are accepted:

13 . The priority right to enter higher educational institutions is enjoyed by: citizens discharged from military service, children of military personnel who died in the performance of their duties of military service or died as a result of military injuries or diseases; children of persons who were killed or died as a result of military trauma or diseases received by them while participating in counter-terrorism operations or other measures to combat terrorism.

16 .Admission to the Tyumen Medical Academy is held from July 27 to August 10 for all categories of applicants in the following sequence:

August 5 - issuance of an order on enrollment in all areas of training and on various admission conditions for those who submitted the original document of the state standard on education.

Persons included in the list recommended for enrollment and who did not submit (withdraw) the original state-recognised document on education within the time limits established by this paragraph, drop out of the competition and are considered as refusing to be enrolled.

17. Applicants who did not pass the competition are required to pick up their submitted documents within 7 days after the date of enrollment. The original documents on education, not claimed by applicants before the deadline, are sent by mail to the address indicated in the application for admission.

Tyumen State Medical University was founded in 1963 as the Tyumen State Medical Institute. The first rector (from 1963 to 1970) was Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor E. A. Zhukov, who was awarded the Order of the Red Banner of Labor for organizing the university.
